Thank you! I went to the concert, in particular to hear Angelina. She sang first, among many artists who have had a connection with Quincy over the years. Angelina’s voice filling the O2 arena, accompanied by the huge band/orchestra, sounded fantastic; but it was over very quickly. I didn’t know the concert was broadcast on Radio 2 later, so thanks for this. It’s wonderful to hear Angelina’s song again from that memorable event!

She has an awesome gift. Love her videos. She’s so beautiful and talented. I agree with another comment I could listen to her all day. Her voice is so amazing. To be able to sing the jazz standards like she does is unbelievable.
She's so adaptable: Give her a single guitarist, and it sounds like the best performance ever. Give her a Q-style big band, and she'll nail that too. She'll change her voice, the mood, the details of the performance so that it just ... fits. .... amazing!
Having only recently discovered AJ, I've invested a few hours in catching as many of her recorded performances as possible, and have posted a few comments of my own. For now I'll leave the gushing superlatives to others, and will simply note that from the chronologically earliest performance I've seen so far (Gloomy Sunday), to the most recent (AGT "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road), the words that first come to mind are growth ,control, and versatility. Some of the most fun is watching the numerous reaction videos by vocal coaches and others - the first eye roll and head snap/jaw drop make it worth the repetition, every time. Chris, of course I know exactly what you mean. Although she wanted to win she will get over it and realize that her real mission was accomplished amassing millions of new followers in the USA. She did the best she could with the Elton John song, a song that was selected for her to sing by Simon Cowell. Nary a day goes by without me listening to her sing. In my everyday walk of life I consistently look for opportunities to introduce her to people unaware of who she is and her remarkable abilities. She has brought joy to my life and, like you, I enjoy checking out reactors who are listening to her for the first time. If you haven't already check out a beautiful woman reactor who goes by the signature "smylyface" and find her piece where she was introduced to Angelina singing "Stay". Warning, it's very emotional.
Robert DeMartin Indeed Smylyface is fun to watch on her own merit. While Angelina’s interpretations of classics from the swing /pop era that my folks grew up on (and I’m in my late 60s myself) through time the mid 80s rock of my own golden era are wonderful and often full deconstructions of the originals, I’m most interested to see what directions her own songwriting takes as she transitions to young adulthood. If we thought she was mature beyond her years, I’ve a feeling that - as Al Jolson said - we ain’t heard nothing yet. I just hope I live to see her reach her zenith, and stay there.
Wow, imagine being backed up with a full blown Quincy Jones big band arrangement.Angelina is up there with the best of the best since Quincy arranged for Sinatra, and Count Basie ,among others, and she wasn't even a teen ager at the time.If Quincy is involved with assisting her with her musical development she will sky rocket dramatically.God bless you Angelina, stay on track, and good things will happen.

I agree with you about those 3 artists and I follow all three. However, Emily Bear needs to be added to that list. She is a prolific composer (mostly jazz but some classical & pop), a mind blowing pianist with the fastest fingers I have ever seen & she scores movies. She has the uncanny ability to compose music on the fly while watching the video. Check her out, you will be amazed!

Boris Palenovski: Thank you Boris for allowing me to listen and observe, that sample video of your works, which showed your cousin playing the piano, in front of a very appreciative audience. When I watch videos, I like to listen to them with a headphone, to get optimal clarity and sound quality out of the recording. But, what matters most is the equipment, technical skills, and cooperation, to produce optimum quality. So, what I really liked about this video is you chose to position yourself in back of the performer and the piano. I think this produced a much better piano sound and picture quality of your cousin. Because of this, you gave the viewer, the best seat in the house. Your video camera and recording device picked up a clear, crisp, picture and heightened every stroke on every piano chord
Vernon Pang it's mostly because of a rather hi-end audio recorder, Zoom H6, that was used to record the performance and was placed behind my cousin's back, to the right of the initial viewpoint . For the video, the combination of Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone and Zhiyun Smooth 4 motorized gimbal was used. Just imagine how well the recorder could work for Angelina at her concert with the Military orchestra, if only I had been allowed to use it (I had it there with me).
Angelina, this has been a great summer for you and for your fans. Every year I think that I know you, and every summer you appear different, and, as it appears, even greater as before.
