She first performed at the Save the Children event at the 2014 Peace Prize event, when she was 8 years old. Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges, is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian. We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. Wow, what a live performance this is. I just realize: now it is 10 years ago that Angelina blew all Norwegians (and shortly after many more people) away with her unforgettable rendition of "Gloomy Sunday" as a tiny 7 year old. There she was: totally "in the song", and that has not changed over the years. You can see Angelina is living the song.... I think that is, apart from her unique voice, one of the reasons she makes such an impression on us, the audience. As one of the judges said back in 2013: Angelina, you ARE music..... And Angelina puts it this way: "Music has found me".

The talented child has grown into a young, beautiful woman and such a fantastic and talented singer. Her voice is so enchanting and unique. One of the biggest stars from Norway. By the way, a wonderful country with very warm and friendly people.

Can't agree more. She is far far better with them than anything in LA. She also sounds a lot more like the "old" Angelina. Singing with a lot more restraint, no vocal acrobatics like some of her recent stuff and just letting her magical voice do the work.👏

Wow, what a live performance this is. I just realize: now it is 10 years ago that Angelina blew all Norwegians (and shortly after many more people) away with her unforgettable rendition of "Gloomy Sunday" as a tiny 7 year old. There she was: totally "in the song", and that has not changed over the years. You can see Angelina is living the song.... I think that is, apart from her unique voice, one of the reasons she makes such an impression on us, the audience. As one of the judges said back in 2013: Angelina, you ARE music..... And Angelina puts it this way: "Music has found me".
I love that she embraces costume in her dramatic but classic dress and hair. She honors the event.

Oh, Boris, thank you. I missed it in the live. This is a gorgeous performance, and so beautifully accompanied. I would say, if there was any doubt, that Angelina is being fully recognized for her heart for the people of the world, and for her full talent. For me, it was so emotional, I was in tears. I think Angelina was pretty close, too, and her voice never wavered. So tender, so delicate, so powerful. Happy Holidays to you, and those you love, Boris. Thanks again.

Thank you Boris. Given the occasion, she had to do Unchained Melody. What a way to honor Narges Mohammadi, even though it may be YEARS before she will be able to hear this performance or watch the whole ceremony. Beautiful as always to see one glimpse of a bare foot 🙂. And what a beautiful combination of her as-usual stunning - and subtly different than in previous renditions - vocals with this wonderful orchestral arrangement.

After they talked for a long time, she gave the girl her shoes and vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world's children had them. Since that time, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public

It was mentioned in a comment or reaction a few weeks ago but I couldn’t find anymore information or confirmation so I assumed it might have been a mistake. I don’t think she mentioned anything about it in her social media.
