- I bought a 1997 Tacoma 4x4 3.4 v6 manual with 331000 miles and it runs great, in this video I introduce the truck, looking forward to doing some basic maintenance and a few upgrades to make it ride nice. I got a 1993 Toyota Pickup with the 22RE from my uncle for $500 bucks lol. 5 speed manual, manual roll up windows, manual locks, 306K miles, and it's a long bed. It's 2WD but it never snows here so I am good with it. But the long bed is super useful. I love old Toyotas.

bought the same gen 03 prerunner 250k miles accs cab and just had the motor rebuilt i love how simple these trucks are. cant wait to see your journey with this one.

Indeed right! Its an old one but a good one, basic, simple, easy to work on and best of all the frame and all the undercarriage is rust free, most trucks this age on the east coast would be complete rust buckets unless really cared for
I still drive my land cruiser prado 90 series. Different body shell but the same chassis and suspension as your 3rd gen 4runner. It has the slower L series naturally aspirated idi diesel engine. It just doesn't wear out.
