Thank you for this wonderful and fascinating story. The food cooked sounded beyond delicious. Thank goodness Gemma escaped from a life of being fed, even though he said she could come and go as she pleased, I don't think he would have been mentally fit to honour this arrangement. I loved it all and especially the ending of her next beginning. Xxxx ❤
why do you people who comment always give away the basic story. You spoli it. We don’t need your opinion. You sound soppy and stupid like you think it really happened.
This was a delicious play! The food sounded delightful & i like nothing better than eating wild herbs & fish & other foods collected from the forests only i don't care for meat much. I thought the play was very light & dark, but as others have commented, well balanced & well acted & written. Anything that becomes obsessive has a dangerous edge. It gets back to human kinds need to reconnect to its roots & live on the land & forage for sustenance. It was a good play with a tight nucleus & nicely feathered along the edges, whoever wrote this knew their subject, to make a play about something quite small & inconsequential yet able to expand & tease out to make an enjoyable interlude. Thank you for this, i enjoyed it alot Regards 🇬🇧👧
Enjoyed this story especially as it took me back to a beautiful autumn day in Piemonte where we went truffle hunting with a dog which also had to be restrained from damaging the black gold. 😂😂
Really enjoyable. This drama has a lovely tempo and clarity of production. The strength of Gemma's main character carries the listener swiftly but gently through the uncluttered story to a suitable and pleasing conclusion. Highly reccommended. P.S. Cheers Arch. Good to find another onslaught of uploads from your stable - I've been rather distracted by Tom Sharpes audio books of late*
@@TedaR Nor this one. I thought it was pretty stupid. Not sure what as the point of the man "obsessed" with natural foods - completely unbelievable - as well as pointless. Load of tosh. :D
I think you mean YOUR Lord. I'm pagan. I take it you are 100% vegan then. Surprised you can accept the idea of drinking "The Blood of Christ" at your cheery Sunday gatherings. Eh eh eh ¿?
@Maria Camilla Thiago - cheers for that - made me laugh. It was a gut-reaction to the typical arrogance I generally only get from Christians determined to push "our Lord" down everyone else's beliefs. As for bullying ; my comment at least made sense without resorting to open abuse - as I see you have also directed elsewhere. You need to have a chat with yourself Maria. Having studied all religion - much philosophy - ongoingly , all new evidence concerning the true origins of modern man ; I realise i don't need any deities sitting on the top of my pole. If everyone concentrated on supporting the planet "WE" wouldn't need to pray. Peace to you*
Gordon Bricker My "Lord" doesn’t forbid me anything. My morals do that because I’m all grown up. 😃 Now, pass the black pudding our Mona! ( crikey, can I say black? shall I take a knee? What am I doing 😳 🤣

Loved the archers music at the beginning. Loved the storyline, the characters and the ending. 😁👍
Thank you for uploading
Nicely balanced play!
A mixture of everything without being too dark or light! Thanks for posting Arch 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍😊

Very good. Great out come. Loved it.
Second time listening and it was very enjoyable. I like those kind of endings.
Thank you
Fascinating story. I really enjoyed that. Thank you.
Great play 👌👍
The best part of this recording is the Archers music at the beginning.

Thankyou
very strange, but lovely story. thanks :) 🐖🍄
however!! - you keep cutting the ends off.
“with a pig called. . . and then?
Yes would be great to hear the last minute or so
It does cut off at the end. A delightful story nonetheless.
Loved it
Tried listening while going to sleep, but sudden bursts of loud music made that unpleasant.
... Josephine.
That was perhaps missing ?
Shame ending sentence cut off?!
And a pig called beep beep beep.
What an interesting story!
This was a good story up until the truffle hunt, after which the author threw in everything but the kitchen sink.
Enjoyed it but the usual iits France so they end up happy ever after. A bit of a Hansel and Gretal. But good.
Thanks for spoilering it
...natural thickener😂
Wtf was that about
A bit daft for me . 🥸
Oh no. No. No. No. I can't listen to people eating. No no no
What a ridiculous story !
Might have been a good story but I couldn't handle the disgusting eating sounds.
I agree. The sound of chomping and slurping makes me feel 🤮
Clichéd to the hilt.
M F S So is “to the hilt”.
Not one of the best
Tripe
You need to practice your editing pal. Beginning and end were way off the mark.
A nice tale for a woman to listen to ? (:- )
Meh....not this one.

10:17 OK, I'm out of here, eating blood is disgusting and absolutely forbidden by our LORD.
Please don't reproduce.
I think eel blood is ok. What about black pudding
