This Starvel mystery is splendid. I’m a fan of Freeman Wills Crofts’ novels, but this is the very first time I’ve encountered an adaptation of his work to any other media. It’s top-drawer in every way!

Intent to Deceive is brilliantly written and performed but when it ends and you think through the plot you have the distinct feeling you've been conned ! Worth listening twice just for the pleasure of trying to figure out what actually happened.! Still marvellous entertainment though ! What more can we ask ?
I would imagine that most police cars get hammered. 170000 miles is a good innings though. Australian police cars get hammered but just lately kids in stolen cars ram them quite often. Then they get off with a slap on wrist. No justice from the courts.😡
Always like these collections. Have gone through them all, and must say that two of the worst characters and the worst music score were found in Intent to Deceive. It had a great story line but mixed in some terrible characters
What rank is "Inspertor", as shown on the video heading? From the audio, I believe it is intended to be shown as "Inspector". Just one very obvious example of erroneous "proofing" of what is published.
