To static time an engine, set the crank where you want it to fire, say 10btdc, have the timing light connected and dizzy loose. Turn the dizzy forward and back to where it triggers the timing light, keep doing it with less travel until your happy that your on the spot. Lock the dizzy off and it will be within a degree or 2

Sam once you get AFR closer to where it needs to be and the pipes stop glowing you can hit the base of each header with a temp gun to make sure you dont cook a single cylinder. Peace of mind.

Ouff 20w60 needs bearing clearances you can throw a cat through run 0w40 is more than adequate. If it's pretty close to stock compression total timing by 3k should be in the 34-36deg range

fluid needle setup is too small for that material or the gun is hvlp. needs conventional cap/needle setup by the looks
