FPV during winter is challenging. If you want to get any stick time and keep practicing, FPV simulators are the only option. You connect your radio to the FPV and go flying. Long time ago we had to use wires. Then Express LRS added a Bluetooth joystick option. But if you want, there is something better. What I can show you today is the Express LRS 2.4GHz Express LRS receiver in a form of USB stick. You flash ELRS version of your choosing, plug it into free USB port, bind with your Express LRS radio and done! Long range, low latency wireless radio connectivity for your fav FPV sim is ready!

Great overview, and the Squid Stick is definitely a nice ready-to-sim package. For the budget minded, this is just the open source CRSFJoystick project, an $5 RP2040, 4 wires, and the cheapest ExpressLRS receiver you can find (or one with a broken antenna, they still work perfectly at this range). Would that work with crossfire if l subbed an old nano rx in place of the elrs rx? I absolutely hate using a sim with my tango 2 for one simple reason: wires!
@@SkeezyFPV Yup! CRSFJoystick works with anything that speaks CRSF (but obviously you can't flash the TBS RX through it)
If your Daughter loves flying you’ve hit the jackpot Sir, certainly when you consider the crazy nonsense kids get into these days.
Fatherhood award goes to you Pawel. S. Well done Sir. 🏆
“a chip off the old block” - as they say.😊❤
Very true
Sounds pretty interesting! Thanks, Pawel!!! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, you too!
I can tell your daughter likes the flight sim, because she turns her head like I do when turning. I notice I do that on the sims, but in real life flight, I look down. But it is probably better to look up for better reception.
Could be :) I have no idea how I turn my head thought. Probably down
betaflight has built in hid support for ages. i just repurposed an old fc with a cheap elrs rx.
Something I was hoping to learn was how many inputs it actually supports. I find when using a Bluetooth adapter, it works just fine, but I'm limited to two sticks and two switches. Having access to more inputs would be very beneficial.
The bluetooth stack totally died on my Windows 11 machine, but I know if I used USB EdgeTX supports all the channels. I know it's not wireless, but it's free compared to buying or building a dongle to use the ELRS RF link as the connection.
Nice,but expensive brotha!
Nothing is cheap recently :(
input latency?
Niezly pomysł. A ten symulator wyglada jak w realu. W pierwszej chwili myślałem, ze to jest nagranie z drona. Co to za symulator?
Sim jest OK, to Uncrashed i jest na steam
