From what ive seen Ongarbaev struggles against hook pullers with good cupping ability like Prudnik, Tsonev, Petro, etc. Where he really shines technique and strength wise is against other toprollers (especially posting).
As I see it the best strategy for ongarbaev here would not be to try and take the hand as that seems nearly impossible however hit back into the fingers like normal but instead of trying to roll out, cup hard and go sideways.
@@JohnHughesTR I’d agree. But I’d say ongarbaev lacks that side pressure- especially off the go. That’s why petro poses so much problems for him. Alan makeev, on the other hand, almost always beats petro. Styles clash.

@@dragster9070lefty yes at WAF 2023. He was able to take Krasi’s hand but Krasi won due to sidepressure.
Petro Marharint has like one of the strongest cupping strength.
