Ortur Laser 3 Extension Kit - Making an Adjustable Measuring Rail System And Adjustable Beds

OLM 3 Extension Kit after 1 week. Well I ended up using one of my workbenches in my garage to see how it would work out. First it has wheels so I could roll it around it needed. Idea here is if I was engraving something like rubber stamps I could roll it towards the front of the garage or outside!!
Also like the option to be able access all sides of the laser. As I will be running large wood signage through it and wont be hindered by anything. This is the part I need to think about as I need to enclose it but with the option to remove the enclosure easily.. That is to come in time.
Next I made and finished off the final version of the extendable fee which make the machine rock solid and allow you to raise the OLM3 to whatever height is needed in seconds by swapping out the PVC pipe. So rotary tool is not problem or putting in large boxes to engrave, etc.
I had some aluminum slotted T Tracks from wood working that worked out perfectly for rails on the bench. Ideas here is I could use the slotted track for something like a slide measure head along with a wing nut to clamp down and hold the beds in a fixed position. Ideas to come.
And lastly it made me make some of the wood hold down pins since I already had the aluminum bed I bought and make use of it. It all working out so far so I will continue with the fun and hope you find some of the ideas useful!!
