Smashing video Gavin, found some good spots for potential camps too. Pity about the crap some people leave behind, annoying. That last bench does have lovely views I often have a stop there for a coffee! Thanks for sharing your bimble!👍
Great spots for future camps you sniffed out there Gavin, always worth going a little off piste. Shame about the abandoned stuff, a common feature these days it seems. Look forward to catching up with you at the weekend and having a brew and a yarn. Cheers, Paul 🙏🏻
Really lovely vid, Barney :) Completely agree with you regarding shelter building - I don't generally like them anyway, but I especially don't like the ones made with man-made materials. Last year i cleared one up that had been constructed with, among other things, car tyres, rubble sacks, and hundreds of cable ties!
Cheers Tim, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the whole shelter building obsession is a bit of a bugbear of mine. It's great when it's done right, but seldom is that the case, and all too often, the LNT principles seem to go out the window. Unfortunately I do worry sometimes that RUclips has had an unhelpful influence in this regard 👍
Cheers Tim. I've grown used to the road noise, you almost become ignorant of it. But, when I go to remote places like Bodmin Moor, the silence is deafening! I'll be back in due course to sort that mess out 👍
@@barneysbimbles Same as you, Gav. Grown deaf to it all. Again, like you, when I went with The Bivouac Experience and a place he took me, there was no noise and it was quite disturbing to the grey matter at first. Blimmin folks who leave their mess. Good on yer for sorting it 😉👍🏼
Nice one, Gavin! What lid do you use for your Crusader Mk 1 cup? And which of David Friars’ pouches accommodates the Crusader cookset? Thanks very much, Roger
Thanks Roger, glad you enjoyed it. The lid is from Pathfinder and available to buy on its own in the UK from Heinnie's. It fits the crusader cup, but is by no means a perfect fit. The pouch is one that Dave made a few months back and was just called a crusader cup pouch. I looked just now and couldn't see any of them in his store. But you might want to drop him a line and see if he's got anymore in the pipeline 👍
@@barneysbimbles Thank you Gavin! Dave makes good stuff. But I wouldn't need to trouble him, as I was able to re-purpose a Cordura drawstring bag I had on a 14 cm Zebra pot.
Thanks great
Enjoy your day
Cheers Dave 👍

Love a bit of road noise near me on a camp 😁
The rubbish left does grind a few gears, eh!
Good to see you out in the trees again, Gav 😉👍🏼

Now if you'd sat on the bench with the attempted shelter and it broke, would you have kept the footage in?🙂
Absolutely, that would be RUclips gold! I did wonder if it would hold my weight 👍
Nice to explore some new spots and take it all in . Even better when you find some potential camping spots . Take care Barney 🏕 👌
Cheers Mark, glad you enjoyed it 👍
