Ok, hadn’t thought about any of this previously, but now that I’ve heard it, it makes all the sense in the world.
A drum anchors the foundation, but the cymbal is your personalized business card when you’re looking to gig!
EDIT: BTW... Got to see Dennis Chambers play at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, CA; back around 1996 or so, and he was phenomenal!
