The noble art of self defense is highly underrated. It's called the sweet science for a reason. Our sport doesn't seclude anyone. If you're dedicated, you are a part of us. I've been boxing for two years now, and still love every single training.
Really wish there was a gym around me somewhere.. ANYONE AROUND kingsport TN an around 5'9 an 140lbs holler at me, looking for a training/sparring partner
lol - I'm only just getting interested in boxing and I noticed, it confused me so I replayed and realised, pretty sure you'd have to be an idiot to not notice haha
If your from London - Come train with 3 time world champion - Duke McKenzie via: "Duke Box". - British champ Clinton McKenzie via Dulwich Hamlets. -12x3 with pro boxer / ex Premier league football player Leon McKenzie. 😆 Yeah my family live boxing
Yes, but mainly Strength and Power Endurance training. So Strength Training - would be anywhere between 2 - at the very most 8 reps on normally around 80-85% (keeping in the lowish end of the strength range because the boxer will not want to risk injury and cause too much fatigue for other aspects of training like sparring for example. They are boxers not powerlifters, their sport comes first.) of the boxers 1RM on Squat, Deadlift, Incline/ Standard Bench press, and weighted pull ups. Over Head Press, Close Grip Bench, barbell rows, accessory tricep work is also important. Power Endurance Training - Bench Press, Squats, Deadlifts, Over Head Press mainly at 30- 50% for maybe 3 to maximum or 6 reps but moving the weight as fast and explosively as possible with 30 seconds rest in-between.

Boxing has this classic.. almost romanticism about it. Terrific sport.
Yoo this got to be the most best masterpiece/class I ever seen so clean and so detail even with voiceovers
Don't mean to be a nerd but at 2:06 and 2:16 the cutaways need to be swapped. 2nd section is the big slow heavy punches, the 3rd is the fast 1-2
+jharricam hahaha yeah i noticed it too. Guess only boxers notice that

You probably move too much when you spar. So I've been told.
Saul Creative facts I do move a lot
the typical fitness guy that does some boxing to stay in shape. Would have been more inspiring to see someone here who has a bit more experience...
before you go through the door, you should be able to run for 1/2, or similar cardio, and jump rope for 3 minutes

Do boxers lift weights too?
