Growing up I always felt like I wasn’t enough or i wasn’t normal because my mom would constantly tell me how weird and strange I am for not interacting with people, for being so shy, and for not talking. I was sooo mad at myself for not being that normal daughter she wanted. She would always tell me how weird and different I am and she just wished I wasn’t embarrassing to her. I’m now 24 years old and I still feel like I’m not a normal person for not going out to places and being quiet still. I come to find out that I’m like this because my mom made it hard for me to accept myself and not care about what others think. I’m always wanting validation from people and am a people pleaser. I hate it so much but I’m trying to just be myself and stop comparing myself to other girls my age. It’s been stealing my joy since a kid.
You are enough and you are good. It is ok and completely normal to be quiet. Not everybody has to be loud and extrovert. Believe in yourself ❤️ I am a quiet person too, I always have been. Take care of yourself. All the best to you ❤️
