So inspiring seeing how you make props and slowly learning stuff myself. I just got to put the breaks on purchasing more tools and materials right now, as it is cutting into my food budget.... well there is always Ramen noodles :-)

How long would you have the heat on when heat sealing foam with the heat gun? 10 seconds each side? Maybe 15?
Would have been cool if you made a faux digital display on the back of the gun with some leds and a print out.
Every time I see an Xacto knife now all I can think of is "the blade of exact zero" from the Lego movie.
Ted: Just a though I had. On the rear of the gun it looks a little bland. (OK not watched part 2 yet). As I said, had a thought. I would have printed out a power bar, covered it with clear plastic and attached it to the rear as a power left indicator.

i was yelling "no" at my screen when he cut off the piece on the back. i would've cut out a chunk that fit around that bevel shape
Ha ha I was cutting it off because that part was broken and I didn't like how it looked.

Ted, Ive been watching all of your videos as I'm getting more into EVA foam work and you've helped me out a ton, but I have to ask, what type of cutting board do you use? I am currently cutting on a piece of wood and I cannot make smooth or detailed curved cuts because the razor just grabs into the wood. I want to make an educated purchase on a good cutting board for my EVA foam and razors.
Awesome background music, it does add a lot to the video. Glad to see you doing different stuff but I half expected you to use it as a base and build on it using foam.
