Have you come across any diffuser BASE recipes? It is so hard to find how to make the base.
The video is so informative ...but Can we use essential oils with the reed diffuser base to make the diffuser and if yes in what ratio?
Also Pls. can you tell me whats the difference between fragance oil and essential oil??
Essential oils have to come from a plants, flowers, trees, plant resin where as fragrance can simply be a combination of chemicals that produce the desired scent.
Best video I've seen on diffusers! Thanks :)
Yay! Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the tutorial
I want to ask pls
Which do you think is better between the base and the carrier oils?
I think the base is better but not as cost effective. Since I am making diffusers for personal use I am good with the carrier oils but if I were selling diffusers I would likely go with the base. I think the base pulls through the reeds better than the carrier oils. However the carrier oils last a bit longer than when using the base. Both have a good fragrance throw though. Hope this helps.
Excellent video, one question, in fragance oils Is need to add base reed difusor or I cab use coconut oil and alcohoo instead?
Yes, correct. You can use a carrier oil and alcohol. Good carrier oils for diffusers are almond, coconut, jojoba, apricot and grapeseed oil. However, if you don’t want to mix it yourself you can buy ready to use diffuser base from a supplier.
Thanks so much for this video. Can I add essential oils to the diffuser base and fragrance oil?
Love these!! where did you get your cocoanut oil from?
Thank You! ❤ I purchased it from Whole Foods.
Evening Paris,
Am attempting diffusers for fun for the first time. I have burning oils that is made of part fragrance and remaining dpg oil. Do I still have to use a base and alcohol as well?
Since DPG oil is considered a carrier oil then I would say no you don’t need a base. Unless the dog oil is mixed into the burning oils and it is a small amount. Alcohol is generally needed to help thin out the solution and carry the fragrance up the reeds.
I will definitely be making these!
Hope you enjoy!! 😍 They have made my home smell lovely!
Very informative and educative video. Thank you. Question, what is the name of the alcohol you used?
Thank You! I just used regular isopropyl alcohol. I would suggest using perfumers alcohol if you are going to be selling your diffusers. I hear it holds the fragrance better.
Hey so I just started my Car diffuser business. I use Fragrance oils and I’ve found that the fractioned coconut oil doesn’t pull the fragrance through as much. I used the 25% F to 75% C and also 1/2 and 1/2 and it just doesn’t carry. However I’ve just recently used 100% F oil and it works tremendously it filled my entire room😮. Then I used 85% F oil and 15% C oil. Wasn’t as strong but more strong than usual. With that being said would it be better advisable to use 100% F oil since I’ve had success with it or still use some C oil to prevent headaches? Sorry if this is a lot. I’m a fragrance junkie so I take pride in it smelling potent and good 🥹💕 Soon to be making room reed diffusers.
Also should I add alcohol to it as well?
I can totally relate to taking pride in my candles having a strong cold and hot throw. 🥹 It's awesome that you found success with the 100% FO but alcohol is needed because it has a faster evaporation rate compared to oils. This helps in dispersing the fragrance into the air more efficiently. The quicker evaporation of alcohol carries the scent of the FO along with it. Also, alcohol can help in control the intensity and longevity of the fragrance. Meaning you will not get a headache but the FO will have a shorter lifespan which is okay. Good luck on your journey! You got this!
Hi, love your sharing here about diffuser, i wonder how the VOC of the coconut oil & almond oil? is it safe too? Of all the 3 you made, which one do you think stay longer or smell longer ?
Thank You! ❤️ VOCs are often components of petroleum fuels, hydraulic fluids, paint thinners, and dry cleaning agents. So there is no VOC in natural coconut and almond oils. It is safe. Also, if I am being honest the wooden wick co. blend has a stronger scent throw, however, the reeds they provide do not work as well as the reeds provided with the diffuser jars I purchased on Amazon.
@@ParisNikkole I see thank you so much for your answers 💕
I love the video. Thanks for making the video.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Hello thank you for the information, I just purchased a diffuser used in Hotel can i use the same formula using carrier oils? The machine use 200ml I just don’t know how much Essential oil and carrier to use.
Is this a reed diffuser? I wouldn’t put this formula in a smoke diffuser.
Thank you for being you Paris. We appreciate you.💖
Awww thank you so much! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Hello! I just made my first diffuser with a sweet almond oil 25/75 and it doesn’t work at all. What would you recommend?
It smells just when you’re close to it. I use fragrance oils not essential.
Thank you!
Hey! Are you using Rattan Reeds? Also, how many reeds are you using per diffuser? Another issue may be the fragrance oil and almond oils together can be too thick so add a bit of alcohol to thin out the base. Also, you can experiment with the percentages to see what works best for you. Try 30/70 mix to see if that works better. Good Luck!
@@ParisNikkole yes I use rattan reeds. One diffuser has 10 reeds (lavender), another 8 reeds (cotton). Smells just when I flip the reeds (every 3-4 days).
How much alcohol I have to add for 3,70 oz diffuser? And another question do you think I can sell diffusers with oil base and alcohol if they work better? Thank you!
Great tutorial. Question, do you turn the reeds or leave them alone?
I do plan to use for personal & business. Novice @ candle making but this will be my first real business item as seems very easy to make.
I do turn my reeds once per week but you don’t have to. I just prefer to do so. Congratulations on your new business! 🎉
Hi, just came across your page and thank you for the video tutorial. Made it look super easy. Am interested in adding diffusers to my candle business as well - but quick question: Dream Vessels offers a hanging car diffuser, that has no reeds (which I love) but am wondering if the instructions you posted would still work since the vessel is smaller.
Yes I have seen those! Super cute! I would assume with those you may not need the alcohol component to thin the liquid since there are no reeds for the fragrance to travel through. Test it out both ways and see which method provides the best scent throw. Good Luck! 😊
Great video! Super helpful. Thank you 🙏
You are so welcome! 😊
Hi. When are you starting your bitcoin series.....I can't wait xx
Hi Ana! I started my new channel and I posted my first video! So excited you are interested in learning more about cryptocurrency! 😊 It has provided so much wealth for people around the world. Here is the link to my new channel! ruclips.net/video/1ysabwnLqsE/видео.html
Thanks for this video, I really enjoyed it. Do fragrance oils risk smelling synthetic/inducing headaches? Or are they fine?
You are so welcome! 😊
Not at all. Fragrance oils have been fine in my experience.
Can I use Palm kernel oil instead of Coconut oil?
Palm oil is a bit thicker so you may have some trouble with it pulling through the reeds.
@@ParisNikkole hiii, oh I meant palm kernel oil.
This was so helpful
Thank You! 😊
what about glycerin? can you possibly use that instead?
I have not tested glycerin so not sure.
What kind of alcohol did use?
Can we use sunflower oil too? Or just the 3 oils you listed?
Yes! Fractionated coconut oil, safflower oil, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, and grape seed oils are all good carrier oils to make natural reed diffusers.
@@ParisNikkole thank you
Hi. Where are the measuring beaker’s from and where do you purchase the blood orange essential oil?
The beakers are from Walmart. They are made by anchor and cost $1.76 www.walmart.com/ip/Anchor-Hocking-Glass-Measuring-Cup-5-ounce/17693182
I purchase my essential oils from Whole Foods, Bramble Berry, Wholesale Labs, etc.
Thanks it was really educative
You're so welcome! 😊
So can I not just put straight fragrance oil?
Walmart sells fragrance oil refills for ultrasonic diffusers etc and the back shows reed diffuser
You can use fragrance oils with a pre-mixed base but you can't just use fragrance oils alone because they are too thick to travel up the reed so you will not get a scent throw.
Can i change natural oil with water?
No, I wouldn't recommend replacing the oil with water.
Hello, can I use this recipe as diffuser oil/humidifier oil?
Hey! These oils are a bit thick so I wouldn’t personally use them in a diffuser.
How long does this one bottle made with 4ounce oil and 4-5 reeds lasts?
Oh my goodness, my diffuser has lasted for months! I switch which side is in the diffuser liquid every month.
where did you get those big diffuser jars with the hole in them ?
The jars that look like candle jars right? Those came from Makesy.
I appreciate you for making this video. I have been very interested in adding reeds to my candle business. I am seeking additional information from you because I love your passion for women empowerment. I'd like to know how I can message you directly.
Thanks so much! 😊 Shoot me an email at - hello@parisnikkole.com
Also doesnt the coconut solidify when cold?
Not fractionated coconut oil.
Where's the best place to buy the containers for defuser thanks 😊
I purchased my diffuser bottles on Amazon because I don’t plan on selling them but if you are starting a business and will be selling diffusers I would check our Dream Vessels!
How would one ship these? Also…can color be added?
Hi Linda, I don't personally sell diffusers but if I did, I would use a sealed bottle for the diffuser liquid and the diffuser container packaged next to that along with the reeds. I would then place that box in a shipper box and send it out.
Can you tell me about augeo bases please?
I will need to do some research on the augeo bases. Let me purchase a bottle to see if it is a good diffuser base. I will upload a video with my review. Thanks for sharing this type of base with us!
Could you have also used fragrance oil with the fractionated coconut oil?
Potentially! However I have not tested that. I am skeptical because fragrance oils are already made with oil which can make the diffuser too thick which means it will not travel up the Reed and produce scent. So, I would say test it. If you do let me know how it works!
Thank you.
Hi there the oil diffuser is stuck on my car I can’t remove how can I get rid of it water can’t help
So you are saying you put an oil diffuser in your car? Did you have a car diffuser? I hope you didn't use the regular, open, diffuser bottle. Rubbing alcohol can break oil down but may damage your car interior. You will need to look for a product that is safe for cleaning your car.
@@ParisNikkole my son opened the diffuser bottle when it was new
Hello, can I use diffuser oil in candles?
Hey Angelynne, I would not recommend using diffuser oil in candles.
@@ParisNikkole thank you
Does the coconut oil smell comes through ?
Not at all! I only smell the fragrance oil!
could you mix a fragrance and essential oil together to make a scent
Absolutely! Get creative girl! Go for it! 🙌🏾
can i use the regular organic oil?
Organic carrier oils are fine to use. I would stick with almond or coconut oil or you can get an organic blend from a supplier.
How many hours per day should be given to a candle making business?
I would say it depends on how fast you want to build your business. Some people have a timeline or goal set for themselves which requires them to work more hours than someone who is casually building a business. For me personally I try to work around 10hrs per week on my business. However, I am at the stage where I am past testing and trying to figure out formulas which required me to work at least 20hrs per week in the beginning but now that I have my formula down and know which wicks to use with my jars it is a very fast process to make my candles, pack them and ship them out. Hopefully this helps but I can definitely do a day in the life type video if that would give you a better idea!
🔥🔥
What kind of alcohol do u use
Just regular rubbing alcohol. 95%+
Thank u
You are welcome! ❤
Please do you have this video on IG?

Do you think your insurance will go up?
I don't plan on selling the diffusers in my business but I wouldn't think insurance would go up. My insurance agent informed me that the only factors that would affect my premium price would be the amount of claims I have made within 1 year, if I change my business location or if I hire more employees. However, I will say that all insurance policies are not created equal so I would definitely speak with your current insurance provider to see what causes an increase in your specific premium price.
@@ParisNikkole Thank you
Wooden Wick Co is now Makesy (in case anyone was as lost as I was trying to search 🙂)
Apologies! I made this video before they changed the name. Lol
are the measurements the same for a fragrance oil?
Yes but only if you are using a pre-mixed base 😊
