I would like to do the same. Everything works fine, but i have trouble with mit GarageDoor. In your YAML i can see a cover.garageDoor. Would you please show how u get the correct state of the door to Homekit? When I open mine, the state says „opening“ but never chamge to „open“

One question I have, and I’m about to set up home assistant for the first time, if I keep my hue light in HomeKit with my Philips hue bridge, will I be able to use home assistant to tell it when no motion detected after 5 minutes turn lights off. Home kit doesn’t have a delay feature hence why I need home assistant. But I’d love to not have to remove my hue bulbs from the hue bridge. But still give home assistant the ability to control them.

I've set this up three or four times in the hopes of using the Home app as my main dashboard. However, some or all of my devices always seem to forget what room I put them in within the app. I eventually gave up. Have you seen this behavior at all? I haven't tried it since the most recent major Mac and iOS software update.

Your Aqara hub and devices are added to HomeKit directly it seems. Are you able to control them in HA also for automations?

Do you add all your lights to Philips hue bridge? Not directly into home assistant

Yep I add all lights to the bridge so that I can use the hue app and the inbuilt motion sensors
