- I love taking a look at your insanely talented designs, so we are back taking another look at smart home dashboards submitted by you! Today we are taking a look at a bunch of new dashboards including both Tablet/Desktop and Mobile designs, some of which are just mind blowing! Thank you so much for submitting your designs!

Fredriks dash is dahboard goals for sure! Please do more of these! More inspiration is never a bad thing. My personal one always feels like it's a work in progress but I'll definitely share it when it's done!

Fredrik's Dashboard is the best I've ever seen !
The others are cool, but personally I've seen too many dashboards with a 3D view of the house. I get the impression that it's everyone's ultimate goal, and as cool as it was the first times, it's becoming almost common now.
Please have a deep dive into Fredrik's Dashboard, if he share good else lets try and figure out what he used to do that, it is AWESOME !!

Great video and superb too see the many possibilities in Home Assistant! This is really great for people starting out, to show that there is more to the "generic stock dashboard" when starting out :) Love the clean look of Devolia and the innovation from Shannon!
And thnks a LOT for the nice comments on my design. Really appriciate it I started out a year ago and this is my third dashboard. I will be sure to make it fully responsive to use on desktop and tablet too in the near future :)

Love the last dashboard!! I'm way behind these, but I just created a nice mushroom based dashboard following your video! I learnt a bunch and and it gave me a chance to fix and create a bunch of stuff I've been putting off for ages. Thanks for all your support, no idea what my HA would loook like without you!

That's funny, I've been using a screen of room cards for my main dashboard for months now! It's pretty great, especially on mobile because of limited screen real estate, and because I can show my security cameras on the cards.

Its always interesting seeing some of these where there's devices I have no use for our can't use. I'm tempted to get an alarm even though I don't need one in my current setup. Still miss not having an A/C solution, but I've not seen any solutions to add electricity/smarts to a Pnuematic A/C system.
I have tried doing a custom news page based on RSS. but you need a different setup for each subject of interest and that seems like a lot of work as each subject needs a setup in 3 different systems inside Home Assistant. It took me an hour to just install the OpenAI RSS feed on my demo page.

Devolia's dashboard is crazy!! I wonder how I managed to have the actual color reflected to the floorplan. Can we do it using some kind of dynamically generated overlay with css? I'm just in the process of creating my floorplan, at this point I have light on/off based on static images.
Question... Currently I am using Homeseer. For someone just starting on home assistant do you have an introductory tutorial on how to get going? My automation is pretty much limited to lighting at this point on Insteon, and z-wave with one or two zigber devices. I am working on my camera system and should have that going soon

You are right: We enjoy these videos! I really find the 3D-designs and the floorplan-based ones appealing - but mainly the condition based info.
A whole other subject: Any news on when to expect a PoE-variant of the EP1-sensor as you mentioned on your GH? I am building/renovating a whole 1st floor of my house including the ceilings and if the PoE-variant is not to far away in time, I will prioritize ti have another ethernet-drop to all the ceiling floors instead of just smurf tube. Thank you
Soon I hope, we have fully working prototypes but we had to do a redesign to fix some minor issues but hoping it won't be too long
Yeah, It is very cool, i make it with Avery Home for HomeKit, Although its functionality may not be too powerful, but it can make this 2D & 3D effect with a simpler way

You mentioned something intriguing when reviewing Fredrik's dashboard. You mentioned that it almost looked like it was designed using Figma. That made me wonder..... Can you use Figma to design the dashboard layout??

16:33 that equalizer is a built in feature of the Sonos integration. Yes, it's probably not typical to have it on a dashboard but it's not something really unique to this particular dashboard.

We definitely need someone to create a 2023 (or well.. soon to be 2024) updated floorplan creator, with a lot more details than the old software out there. Devolia's looks so great, but I can only imagine how much time it must take to re-render everything and update a lot of stuff, every time you change your furniture around, for example.
except if he used mawell render, then you need to render the scene once. Once done you are able to change colors, intensity without re-rendering the entire scene with new lighting.

@@mortenmoulder I don't know but I presume the flooplan is using jpeg or png file so you only need to create those file with a 3D render software such as Maxwell render. It's pretty old technology so I presume other software will do the same with only one render, you can achieve multilighting. ruclips.net/video/nWcmiU5hpjw/видео.html

@fredrikpersson7008 Light page, Window Sara's Room. I was wondering if SG on the Home Page switched to a second dash. And I wondered what could be improved what already looks perfect.
Ah okay:) No the ”chips” in tge top ledt corner is either grey or green and shows if me or Sara is at home. Currently, I can’t get her to download the HA app though so it’s only a dummy for now 😂 any ideas on how to track without her consent…??? 😂
@@fredrikpersson7008 well, if just tracking her in a binary way (home/not home) is good enough, then you could use the wake_on_lan function or your router integration to determine if her phone is on the WLAN.
If you want the location note precisely, then 1. Shame on you, and 2. Maybe she's already given her consent on apps like Google or Apple maps or something?

I know you don't have codes etc. But can you get information on how to get in touch with the person. Have installed Luke's dashboard as Devolia's but some things are old and don't work.
