The DS was truly the golden age of Pokemon. We had Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Black, White, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black2 and last but most definitely not least, White2. I recall playing Diamond as a 9 year old. Good Times.
I graduated a week ago and I just turned 18. This song is special to me, although not being my first Pokémon game, I associate this song with overcoming a new chapter of my life. It's weird, I've been on this planet for only 18 years and I've seen myself come so far. There's a comfort that video game music from my childhood makes me feel, like even though things move so fast, there's always time to calm down and just take a rest, then back into the flow of life.
This makes me feel home. Pokémon has been like my home for many, many years. When I hear the musics from the games I feel like I'm coming back home after a long time. I cry every time I listen to Sinnoh soundtrack because Sinnoh is actually my home. My childhood home, the place where I put all my memories... I hope I'm not the only one to feel this, because it is a very sweet feeling... Hope you have a nice day :)
Back when I was younger, my uncle gifted me a copy of Diamond for Christmas. It was my first Pokemon journey. I had played around on his Pearl a lot when he would visit, so on the year my sister and I got DSes he got me a copy of Diamond. I remember adventuring Sinnoh, training my Infernape to a ridiculous degree and just spamming Flame Wheel. I was a kid lol. The game corner and Veilstone's music bring me back to these days a lot. And the underground? Don't even get me started on the underground. That place is memory city, playing CTF with the neighborhood kids. One day, I made it to Sunnyshore city. I had a freshly caught Dialga and was so excited. But, despite my overleveling, I couldn't manage to beat Volkner. I told this to a friend at school, who said he could do it for me and also wanted to try the game out himself. I agreed and loaned the game to him. A few months later, I moved. I had already realized he wasn't returning it after asking him numerous times for the game back and getting numerous excuses. Because of that, I was unable to watch these credits myself. I had that taken from me, nearly at the end of the journey Last year, I purchased a copy of Platinum and finished it myself. It was the first time I finished the game. 12 years after all of that, and I finally got my ending. Except... it didn't feel right. So here I am, watching these credits. Seeing that version of the trainer riding into the sunset feels far more correct to me. I finally feel as though my Sinnoh journeys can be called truly complete. Thank you, Sinnoh. For being a bonding point between my friends and I years ago, for sparking an interest that has lasted much of my life, for having a kickass soundtrack, and for being an excellent starting point. You'll always have a special place in my heart, no matter how many regions I go to, old friend. And maybe, one day, we'll see each other again. I'm sure you'll look different, but I hope you're as great as I remember. Edit (2/26/2021): Welp. You look different, but not what I was expecting. Can't wait to see you again later this year, old friend.
That’s a terrible friend. Probably deleted your save file and started playing through the game. I wonder if that’s what he meant by “wanted to try the game out himself”?
I played Blue, Yellow, Silver, etcetera. But this game was the best of my childhood. I completed games over and over just to listen to ending music like this.
I love how this song changes throughout the credits to display the music that you heard throughout your journey. This is such a beautiful track because it brings you through the different environments you encounter in the game. You can clearly go through this song and find parts of songs that you heard like the bike theme, the galactic base theme, the game corner theme and probably many others. Such a beautiful track
Because at the end of the game you may first notice that the main part is over, however then that means you overcame the difficulties and finally you need not end there, but can coma back and continue playing with your friends for as long as you like
I don’t think the first part is depressing but rather melancholic. It feel like you remember your home, you mom, and after that you begin your journey and it become exciting. But it’s just how I feel about the music.
Sailornyan I also think they need to make the ending themes more emotional too. Gens 3 and 4 really got me emotional over the journey’s end, but 5, 6, and 7 are more like Gen 1 and 2; just good.
Ducktective Duck JR Gen 5 is my favorite soundtrack overall, but unlike gens 3 and 4, the ending theme just didn’t make me feel emotion, let alone intense emotion
Hard disagree here on Gen 5, but maybe just because you were talking BW exclusively? BW2's ending theme is the most nostalgic of them all to me. It really sounds like a goodbye to all of the 2D Pokémon games and seeing Nate/Rosa run home to their mom while seeing all the people again that you've met during (both of) your adventure(s) in Unova is just the icing on the cake. I do agree that BW's ending was not emotional in that sense at all though, but it wasn't really supposed to be, since it was more of a "to be continued..." than a "The end".
Don't hope too much about the new games they ain't as good as the old ones anyway. Pokemon in general went downhill when they changed to 3D everything after the fifth generation sucks.
@@TurboPikachu ye I totally agree BW and BW2 are easily my favorite games of the series but with Pokémon pearl being my first game their ending themes just hit harder.
Where did the time go? Remember when Pokemon was good? I remember the first time I beat Diamond When I was 10. My lungs were shot from screaming with excitement because I finally beat Cynthia. Compare that to the absolute husk of a game it was supposed to remaster, Brilliant Diamond. 23 years old and watching these credits I felt depressed and bitter at how shit that remaster was.
god damn its gonna make me cry, sounds so stupid but I connected with this game on a level I dont think I ever have with another game, and I don't think i've heard this theme since I beat the game last at least 8 or 9 years ago
I remember getting this game back in Christmas of 2008, my first handheld Pokémon game, I was 12 that year and I remember beating this game between January 1-10. This song and Cynthia's theme were the best, no the whole soundtrack was the best. But now on 11/17/2016 at 1:05 am my game officially stopped working. Almost 400 hours, all gone. Thank you Diamond/Pearl for the best adventure I have ever had. Hopefully after Sun/Moon a Diamond/Pearl remake comes out.
they just broke with age, or the internal battery run dry. But hey, you can still probably extract the save file with some kind of device. Like an action replay or something like that.
IronSteveGamesIII that story saddened me. I started on diamond one christmas and lost it a few months later. I got sapphire and emerald and waited until the next Christmas anxiously for pearl. I still have the original file at 340 something hours. I just wish I could go back to those days when I really didn't know how to play
I never leave comments, but this video deserves one. Sinnoh was my escape, my home that I could escape to while inside my own home. Words don’t really do justice to what little 8 year old me felt listening to this for the first time. This was the first time that I ever had to accept finality. The end of a journey, and the beginning of another. My pokemon, more real to me than my own friends at the time, had traveled the whole way with me. I took them to unbelievable heights, putting easily 2k plus hours into this game. This marked the end of the road for my journey with them. While of course I played the whole post game, this moment was without a doubt the end of our adventure. From here on out it was easy sailing and fun. When Fin appeared on the screen for the first time, I struggled to grasp quite what it meant. In all the years since then, I still don’t have an answer. This was my first Pokémon game, and it wasn’t my last. I have had countless new teams and friends since then, but all have eventually reached their end. The only member of my team who wasn’t done was myself, and that’s what I eventually took to heart. Life is just like all of our times playing Pokémon. We all make our friends, reach finales, and have new beginnings. What matters is just that we keep having those new beginnings. Without those hard restarts into a new game, I don’t really think we can say that we’ve been living at all. It’s amazing the effect that a DS game can have on a persons entire life outlook, but thankfully that effect has made me all the better. Eventually everything comes to an end, and all we can do is pick up another game and just keep playing. When we stop playing is when we truly die, not when our heart stops beating. I guess my drunken rambling here only has one message, just keep playing new games. Life is filled with endings, but without endings how can someone beat the games? All we can keep doing is keep restarting and playing again. As long as you keep playing the game, meeting new friends, beating new enemies, and reaching new endings, no one can say that you’re not living. Seize the day, and remember it’s not really the end till you stop playing the game :)
How does this song lit get me to chill to hype to crying at the end bc you can see your how town at night and it meant the end of a journey. I feel like this is the only Pokemon game to hit me this hard.
2:42 and after always bring me chills. I love this song with all my heart and memories. The part where the protagonist just cycles to the city again, feeling like coming home is a good reward after an adventure. This game entertained me for hours, knowing the remake is coming I just want to play it already
This is how you were REALLY taught that best part of a journey isn't the destination, it's all the friends and challenges you make and overcome along the way.
I still play my pearl. I have so many feelings from when my turtwig was just a turtwig and when it was a torterra. I remember being in the 6th grade, where i could play this game a lot more. Now a freshman in high school, where i cant play pokemon a lot anymore and no one seems to play pokemon. I will always remember those memories. Thank Nintendo and Game Freak. I will always remember the fun i had with these games.
this game was my first pokemon game,it was pearl, but there basically the same. its been years since i last played it. Its brings back so many memories, like when the I found out there where gym battles. that was my goal to collect all the gym badges. but when i beat cynthia and made it to the battle resort with the national dex. i was blow away on how many pokemon i have not seen or heard of. from then i followed the series where ever it went.
I remember playing this game on my own as a kid for so long. I loved it so much I’d reset mid way because I didn’t want it to end. The amount of memories I had in this game brings me to tears to this day.
Looking back and seeing as much as how Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire disrespect the original games by making Team Magma and Aqua look cartoonishly evil and less serious and how it is mush easy to play. I kind of don't want these games to be remade knowing it wouldn't be as good. Why do people want their games being remade anyway? just go back and play the Original. Nintendo has lost their touch in making good games at this point.
+Adam H I cried for a number of reasons after this. First, the song is beautiful. Second, it took me half the summer to defeat Cynthia and the Elite Four (they were hard). Lastly, it was three days until school started again.
Fr, everything after 2016 fell off Paper Jam was the last Mario Game with a banger soundtrack Sun and Moon was the last Good Pokemom game and its soundtrack is similar to Gen 4 Mario Kart 7 delivered the last Bops in the Mario Kart series
Man, this was the first Pokemon game I owned as a kid. When I finished the game after hours of trying to defeat Cynthia 9 year old me got emotional. I think that was the moment I knew I would be a fan for life.
I was 13 when this game came out and I played through it. Initially I was disappointed with the game itself for feeling like a step down in certain ways from ruby/sapphire, but really, D/P’s journey came to the most satisfying end to date; and this ending theme brought me to tears way back when I first finished the game; it was *that* impactful. D/P never was my favorite entry in the series, but for some reason I miss my Sinnoh journey more dearly than any other I had in the series before or after D/P and no other title in the series has gotten such emotion out of me; now it’s even harder to hold tears back knowing this was all 11 years ago when life was so much better
I remember beating this game as a 7 year old I begged my mom for this game and we were so poor. I always thought there would be a sequel game after this one with the same main character. I didnt know the protagonist changes every generation I still remember how amazed i was that there was still content after you beat the game. Im 23 now and I cry every time I hear this ending. I think of the times when it didnt matter how poor i was I just wanted to play games and hang out with my friends. Im glad that i had such a great game to play rather than being sad all the time.
Dear Sinnoh... We have such a great memories back then.. fighting against all trainers, explore all the map, beat elite four and beat the Champion Chyntia.. and now is the ending... Return to our home and rest...
I don't care if the game would be the same or wont be significantly different, if the remakes get music to hit my heart strings, that would enough for me.
Finding out gen 4 was supposed to be the original ending for the franchise make so much sense to me since a lot of things in the game did indeed have a since of finality to it.
This reminds me of a certain K.K. Slider tune... (I know it’s an altered Eterna City) but I can’t place it. Also, 2:43 reminds me of SMG’s Star Festival theme, which came over a year later, so maybe this inspired it? (I think it’s a remix from earlier in DP, but can’t place it) And 3:38 reminds me of DS Rainbow Road, which came a year before!
I began with X, but Diamond & Pearl made a mark in the Franchise, Amity square and the first Female Champion and the Hardest one yet, Cynthia, when the Remakes come, She'll be Easier. (Edit: the remakes have come.)
I've like this version of this ending more than platinum because it is more subtle at the end with jubilife city at the corner, Just another way of saying it's only closer to home ;(
Good night Sinnoh. I will come back to you in the future.

"When You Reached the end of High School"
Cant wait to see and hear this in the remakes
I was listening to the rest of the soundtrack for Diamond and Pearl. And now i am here, barely holding my tears. Gosh my chilhood was good !
Impossible not to watch the whole thing without crying
I had this playing in my earphones when going home after high school ended
X2
3:53 feels like letting out a big sigh
I just want my damn remakes this video makes me so nostalgic
Looking back and seeing as much as how Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire disrespect the original games by making Team Magma and Aqua look cartoonishly evil and less serious and how it is mush easy to play. I kind of don't want these games to be remade knowing it wouldn't be as good.
Why do people want their games being remade anyway? just go back and play the Original. Nintendo has lost their touch in making good games at this point.
Remakes now in nov 2021 and jan 2022
sadly satoru iwata will still be dead 4:21
this has a resemblance to R/S/E ending cutscene
where the player rides their bike back to their starting town
and the
pokemon circle thingy
when i was a kid i wanted to skip these credits asap, now being older im wanting to just sit watch and listen. good old days.
My credits for the end of summer TnT
Douglas Gordon This song hits me with a overwhelming feeling of nostalgia every time I hear it.
Douglas Gordon this song made me cry when I first beat the game
adam h I was still a bit rattled after Cynthia
+Adam H I cried for a number of reasons after this. First, the song is beautiful. Second, it took me half the summer to defeat Cynthia and the Elite Four (they were hard). Lastly, it was three days until school started again.
I like the little credits backdrop, where Red is driving his bike.
This song will play at my wedding one day...
these credits remind me how good Nintendo was at making music back in the late 90s and early 2000s
Fr, everything after 2016 fell off
Paper Jam was the last Mario Game with a banger soundtrack
Sun and Moon was the last Good Pokemom game and its soundtrack is similar to Gen 4
Mario Kart 7 delivered the last Bops in the Mario Kart series
Who else is crying? I just want those Sinnoh remakes 😔
Well you know that sinnoh is getting a remakeish one.
00:00 in that moment nostalgy hit me like a bull
Mario Romero yeah...
Here before Insane In the Rain arranges his magnum opus.
I started Platinum on the 4th of July 2009 on holiday in Virginia. Second hand, shop asked $30.
heard this and closed my eyes and smiled
Man, this was the first Pokemon game I owned as a kid. When I finished the game after hours of trying to defeat Cynthia 9 year old me got emotional. I think that was the moment I knew I would be a fan for life.
Sinnoh, this magical land will always have a place in my heart
Oh man the memories.
God, so much nostalgia. Gen 4 music is my favorite.
Rest in peace, my dear Vespiquen
what an epic song to come back again and again
So this is the feeling...the felling of victory...after 4 years of getting destroyed by the elite 4 and Cynthia I can be at peace...
Im not crying, you are..
This is the first song that came into my head after I caught Arceus when I was traveling through the void glitch.
im not crying u are :(
I have always hated the instruments used and overall sound of DPP’s tracks, thank you for posting the animations though
I never owned diamond or pearl but I'm glad I got a chance to see what these were like the remakes! And damn it's amazing.
My dear Steel type team.. rest in peace on Sinnoh. See ya in a remake soon maybe
Quasimodo predicted all this
Dear Sinnoh... We have such a great memories back then.. fighting against all trainers, explore all the map, beat elite four and beat the Champion Chyntia.. and now is the ending... Return to our home and rest...
2:12 is where the god stuff starts
Nah, its 0:00
@@pollito_destructor word...
It sounds like the Mario Bros 3 credits
This game holds part of my heart especially because it was the first original Nintendo DS Game I ever played
Times passes so quickly as if it felt like 2007 was yesterday...
Idk why but..The beginning of this music gives me tear in my eyes and feel kinda sad 😕
I don't care if the game would be the same or wont be significantly different, if the remakes get music to hit my heart strings, that would enough for me.
Que de souvenirs....snif
i'm sorry for making you never see the light of day again....empoleon.
Definitely gives you that feeling that a long journey is coming to a close. Probably because it is
Finding out gen 4 was supposed to be the original ending for the franchise make so much sense to me since a lot of things in the game did indeed have a since of finality to it.
Anyone else like this more than Platinum's credits?
@@sandvichnavy2682 Nani do you mean?
@@sandvichnavy2682 What?
I began with X, but Diamond & Pearl made a mark in the Franchise, Amity square and the first Female Champion and the Hardest one yet, Cynthia, when the Remakes come, She'll be Easier.
(Edit: the remakes have come.)
Best Region
Oh, now this does take me back...
It could be the scene of the end credits of Pokémon diamond and pearl
Always feels like home! ❤️
Oh man, watching as jubilife appears in the darkness is such a nice touch, signaling that your almost home

Who's here again after Brilliant diamond and Shining pearl?
I've like this version of this ending more than platinum because it is more subtle at the end with jubilife city at the corner, Just another way of saying it's only closer to home ;(
Hobestly dpt has the best music of all pokemon games
