- Our homesteading dream is coming true - we put in an offer on a mind-blowing piece of land!
For many years we have been looking at land with the aim of purchasing to create a self-sufficient homestead. We have book looking for 5 years to be exact! Fast forward to the present and we have a golden opportunity to own land in the Klein Karoo, South Africa. This 1.8 hectare (HA), or 4.5 Acre, piece of land is raw land with absolutely nothing on it. This is truly a blank canvas to allow us to create the homestead of our dreams.

It is so exciting watching your homesteading journey from the start. I watched every single one of your videos in 1 day.
What you doing is basically a dream of mine, and for now I get to live that dream vicariously through you.
I’m also from the Western Cape, and if land wasn’t so expensive I would probably be in the process of buying a plot of land near to you.
I have 2 little kids age 2 and 4, so that’s also something I would need to consider as the need to go to a proper school.
Anyways, looking forward to more of your content, keep it up.

Hey Quinton, thank you so so much for dropping me a comment! I absolutely love hearing from people with the same dreams and ambitions.
We most certainly do have a lot in common! We actually sold up and packed everything to make the move to George so the kids could still get to really good schools while we build up the farm on weekends and holidays.
The idea would be once the kids are in high school that we can move and live 100% off the land.

Thank you so very much 🙏🏼 Yes, it's really beautiful and there is an incredible amount to do but it will be amazing and I can't wait to open it up to share it with others too! It's not massive at just over 1.8ha which is around 4.5 acres 🌻
