Thank you sir. Yes absolutely, re-use the old tubes if they are still solid. Just give them a brush off with a wire brush. Enjoy your grilling this summer.
Glad you got a laugh out of it. Can you share the time line so I can see what you’re talking about. This was the first time ever I did an instructional video.
Long, but really useful. Around 9-12 minutes, he shows how the new burners were too short, and proper ones were $29 each (times 5 burners - ugh). Thank you - I will do my homework before buying parts!
Very good video. I am rebuilding a 5 burner Brinkmann with a smoker. there is an issue with the lid, how its connected and what stops it from opening all the way back, If someone can take a pic of where the lid attaches and where the stop is the stops the lid from opening all the way back would be greatly appreciated.
This is weird. You paid way too much back in 2016. It's 2020, and I got 4 top crossover tubes, 4 burners and 4 head shields in a package deal for 22 bucks off amazon, 5 star rated. Also, you said "I can't even remember the last time I changed the battery for the igniter." I don't believe those take batteries.
Thanks for the step by step- you are very helpful. One question- would you mind sharing where you ordered the parts from? I have the same grill with the same problems (and would love to fix it instead of junking it). Great job 👍.
Vincent Maltese I purchased the parts through Amazon which cost a total of $45 maybe cheaper because I returned parts that were not necessary. Some parts may not be the same make/model but it will mention the replacement parts for your make/model.
I have the exact same grill but the orifices that are in it are for natural gas and we are having a hell of a time trying to find someone who has the right size orifice for this grill for propane. Is there any way you could help a girl out and describe what yours looks like and the markings? Ours has a #53 and 1.35 Stamped on it and it goes from small to big to small in a tube shape about 3/4 of an inch long and has a hexagon shaped head
Sandra Quinteros I purchased the parts through Amazon. The name brand might not be the same but it will mention the replacement part(s) for your brand.
Dont clean the burners over the stainless steel, you are dropping the rust on top of the stainless and contaminating it causing the stainless to rust in the future
If going to spend $100 into a rusty bbq another thing think about probably at the time got big fancy bbq was a good idea then discuver it's a pig on propane and really don't need it probably be better just getting a smaller bbq fit yiu needs then sink money into that junk thing
Now that Brinkmann is out of business, this video was VERY helpful!! Thanks
Way to hang in there when the going got tough my man! Most people would have broke down and just went out and bought a new grill. 🏆🏆
This was really helpful! Thanks for taking the time to make it, AND to walk us through some problem solving.
Great job. That 1/2" makes all the difference. Yeah, I'm going to reuse the gas tubes. Excellent. 100%

I laughed at using “THIS” bc I’m using “THIS”!!!! Lol

EConsumer Thank you so much for your comment. It started off as a joke but then I got really into it.
Thank you sir!
I got this grill for free, so a cheap fix is perfect
That's why I'm watching...I got a free one too

Seems like they gave you the wrong kit if three sets of parts were wrong

Hi Shelby,
Sounds like you need a Gas to Propane Conversion Kit. They are pretty standard.
The brand and size of the orifice doesn’t matter? That’s what I’m stressing over.
where did you buy your parts for brinkman pro series?
Sandra Quinteros I purchased the parts through Amazon. The name brand might not be the same but it will mention the replacement part(s) for your brand.
Dont clean the burners over the stainless steel, you are dropping the rust on top of the stainless and contaminating it causing the stainless to rust in the future
Where did you buy the parts? I couldn't any for the model of my Brinkmann
Amazon sells them as kits type in model such as brinkmann gas grill 810-4580-s
1207Imelda Through Amazon. It probably won’t be the same name brand but it will mention the replacement part for your make/model.
Always look at your video before posting it...CAN'T SEE INSIDE GRILL,,, TO DARK!!!!!!
buy a new one if its gonna cost close to 100 bucks tonreplace those parts
Shen Oac Total cost for parts was approximately $45 with my Amazon Prime account.
A new grill is 700.00 how is spending even 100 not worth it?
Don't replace anything, is more cheap buy new, some offert are cheaper.
Disagree. Repaired my grill using this video as a guide, and spent $60 rather than $500 for an equivalent grill.
If you buy crap grills, yes.Go buy a weber or Napoleon and tell me it's cheaper than fixing it!
