    Doesn't explain how to access my dvr when I'm remote. What settings are required to allow connections through my firewall to the dvr?

    have an hikvision camera alone know nvr it works an the Web view but will not connect to hik-connect ... it saying registration status offline and I cnt change that status

    If i connect my mobile to other wifi it doesnt work. Can you teach me how so that i can still watch my cctv even when im not home

      I think you scanned the wrong QR code, scan the one in platform access as others will only allow local viewing through local Ip address starting with 192.

    Hello.. I'm using HIKVISION too. In the status of platform access in NVR is already "ONLINE" but when I try to add in HIK-CONNECT it's still offline. Do you know the solutions?

      Then the issues is with your app settings on mobile or pc . make sure its add to your account or use the vister mode.

    I’ve got my app setup with NCFC and cameras whilst on the same network. Should the app work if I’m not on the same network? ie if I’m away and connected to entirely different WiFi or mobile data?!

      Hi, I am assuming that you are using Hik connect and have added the cameras?? ( not using a dvr/nvr??) to the app after signing in and not using a local ip address . The app will use whatever wifi network that is in range and connected to .

      @@cctvwholesales5542 really need help, my client is unable to view the cameras through the app when not connected via the same LAN as the DVR itself. i am unable to configure for dynamic dns because when the app asks me for the configured device domain name, i am unable to input any charachters into the field other than lowercase letters. thererore i cannot correctly input the device domain name as it requires "." charachter

      @@tylerharrowjackson8952Hi, i am assuming you are using Hikconnect app and platform access is enabled in the network menu ( make sure encryption is disabled ). With this setup, there is no need to set up DNS as long as DHCP is enabled in the network menu. Follow the video in other words.

    I have installed the ivms 4200 and there isn't the qr code , I added the device manually and I can see the live view but only if I'm connected on the same internet router

      You need to create a hik connect account first as per video. make sure you use the QR code that's in configration> platform access. Make sure platform access says on online before signing into Hi connect section of ivms4200.

      @@GigiDAmicoD'Amico update the recorder or you will need to do port forwarding and DDNS - a bit complicated if you haven't done it before.

    it works when phone and device are at the same wifi but when I go home and change my wifi or use mobile data the device is offline can anyone help me through this please?

      You need to make sure the recocrder status is online in the network>platform acess and ensure you add the recorder by scanning the QR code on the recorder screen.

    This is what the problem with you people is. You don't select anything because after the App is installed and you click on Open, the App takes you straight to the Region where you have to select the country first. Whereas, your country selection comes later. Once I select the country, I am being taken straight to Login and not to Register. There must be something wrong with this Hik-connect shit on my mobile, as to why I must Login first and not Register first. That's the part I don't understand with these Chinese gadgets. Your App show the Register first at the start. While my App shows the Login button with text that says 'Login to find out more'. So, I click on Login and the next page is where you add the Username and Password. As strange as it is, how can I provide a Username and Password when it is the first time I have installed the App? And you guys are saying Hikvision is the best? LMAO! In your dreams! The App is all mixed up comparing to your App, hence I am mad about it because since I have bought this unit, I've had problems after problems in setting the NVR up and connecting this bullshit Hik-connect up is a nightmare.

      Hi, I don't believe you bought the DVR from us so your first call should be to the place of purchase, HOWEVER, Have some ready to slap you as its obvious what you're doing wrong. 1) YES open the app and select country, 2) yes, the next step does ask you to sign in BUT it also says register underneath the sign in !!. Also, who are " you people" and do you anything that's not made in China? Lastly, the only people that made Hikvision number 1 is the public -( that's you). Lastly, this is not Facebook, twitter.
