a nice loop is, from I-15 (north san diego county), go east on sr 76, to josie's, a little farther east to sr 79, then west to temecula. and for a treat, go north on sage road, left on e. benton, right on glen oaks, left on rancho california into temecula's wine country, on a sunny day, it is just beautiful.
I have ridden past this place so many times but never stopped, didn't even know what it was until I looked at the address in the description. Will have to stop here next time.

I just looked it up on historicaerials and wow, the lake was much bigger and did go right to the highway there.
Used to ride here with my boys all the time. Sadly moved from SoCal March 2022. BUT trying to move back ASAP.
