Thanks for the great video. Having lived in Rapid, and still owning a place in Spearfish Canyon, I think what makes riding in the Black Hills so challenging is the scenery. Even after 40 years, I still find my self distracted by the beauty.............it NEVER gets old.

I've driven The Dragon, too many reckless idiots. The road itself is overrated, too, even in the area. Recently, I came back from moto-camping in Colorado, and pretty much any road that went through the mountains was better riding overall. The San Juan Skyway was breathtaking with a great mix of tight technical stuff, fast sweepers, and incredible scenery. The pass going into Pagosa Springs was another amazing ride. If I had to choose between heading east or west for a good ride, it wouldn't even be close. There are many many better places than "that road to North Carolina"

Give them some love. The camp ground and saloon was wiped out. Helped bob clear the property today. Though we're ATVrs I promised him I'd be one of his first guests back once he rebuilds.

July 2014 I flew into SLC and took an uber to Harley to rent a bike for the week, before I left Utah, I had bought a home in Park City. Now I'm buying a 2nd home in Springdale. But Your gonna need a 4x4 to see the remainder of Utah

Sadly I think it's gone. I used to be a Chef here and cook the food, but yesterday that dam broke in North Carolina and Newport Tennessee is under water and as anyone who has to Barbarossa knows, even in normal rains it's barely above the water.

With the amount of attention our road here gets, there should be a cop patrolling every day with state funding as so many from other states come here and abuse “the speed”! Have seen crash or close call every time I go… from others clocking for their best run time… crazy to me this isn’t monitored by law enforcement. It’s like they’ve given free pass. Just my 2 cents.

the 178 between Bakersfield and Lake Isabelle is no joke. I like to ride using as little brake as possible. i do not go as fast as I can on the straights, slam on the brakes and hit the corner. I pick a comfortable speed for the road and use engine braking only, when possible. The turns on the 178 are to tight for that. what really makes corners dangerous is as you turn the radius of the corner gets tighter...

There used to be another one on the road to Malibu beach...Not sure if its still there...

That road doesn’t look that special to me. Come to any mountainous part of Europe and you find similar roads. However we European rider are used to it, we usually have a better training due to stricter testing when doing our license and most serious riders are properly dressed. All that reduces the crash risk snd if one should happen, the injuries. So from my point of view that road is overrated.

You absolutely correct riding a motorcycle can and is workout, every part of your body feels after a long ride or jumping hills on a dirt bike, I’ve had the opportunity to experience both dirt bike’s at a young age sports bike’s in my twenties now cruiser’s in my older age and still getting a workout 🏋️‍♀️ lol and as long I can toss a leg over a seat I’ll still getting a workout 👊🏽👊🏽

I don’t feel like motorcycling gives me all that great a workout so I sometimes ride my motorcycle to a trailhead and go for a hike even if it’s just a short one.

I’m former veteran & cop, and I actually have in my official ( if you will) mental health plan about riding my motor as a necessary and consistent action to keep my mental health- healthy. Riding ( for me) has helped me improve so much concerning my mental health/PTS battles. Riding therapy works much better than picking up a bottle of whisky or a gun for that matter!! Great stuff Doodle!

Call me crazy, but I'd guess there would be a LOT less crashes on the Dragon if people obeyed the speed limit...

I have never seen more crashes in my life than on I-95 in the Miami area. Multiple car pile-ups every time it rains. Nice video!

I like foothills parkway you can fly across it I’ve road it many times I’ve been on the dragon 5 times and seen bad wrecks ever time not my favorite to many wanna be Superbike riders
