Thanks man love the videos you got hella wisdom ty for sharing just applied cause you! tired of security for no pay and i got a baby on the way i needa provide for gotta get serious bout my pay!
i’ve been a corrections officer for 13 years now, started at a county jail in WV, the most i made there was $43k back in 2012, i joined the BOP federal prison, worked 2 different institutions one in WV, currently down at NC. Its been UP🚀 from there, the past 6-7 years, ive made over $100,000 with OT every year. its been a blessing. Definitely apply, can change your whole life. We got mouths to feed bro, if you get on, put as much as you can in your retirement account, i take alot of that OT money im making and invest it in stocks & crypto in my personal accounts, and i buy stocks my daughters college fund
MANNN! LOL, i feel you on this, go back & watch a couple of my videos i did a while back. I’m talking about all the OT money thats available in these prisons, its like you’re printing your own golden ticket on Willy Wonka. All of the videos are on my corrections officer playlist on my channel! 💰💵 🫡
The OT is where its at especially with the collateral duties you can sign up for. Im currently a federal correctional officer in the BOP out the philadelphia area. I've been in for a 1 1/2 years and it was the best decision I've made. If your good with talking to people and using verbal judo to diffuse situations, you will be respected and wont have any issues in this line of work.
i know some people from FDC philly at butner. and yep you aint lying, im on M/W cadre A, off sunday monday, i do about 4 doubles a week , Tuesday thru Friday, 8 and to the gate on my friday and chill on the weekends. thinking about cutting back on my OT in 2025, done ran it up on em!!💰💵🤑😂
@@TheGhettoBodybuilder my mother lives near butner and wants me to move my family down there. She a 30 min drive from there. Our captain just took a promotion and coming back to butner. He told me to let him know if i decide to transfer over there. Get that money young brother. I try to do atleast 2 OT's per pay.
@Princeofsp215 what you thinking? its a good spot, you know it got its fair share of workplace drama but what spot doesn’t? im originally from ohio, went to college and started the BOP in west Virginia at FCI McDowell. i love North Carolina, got a house 10 minutes from the prison in Creedmoor
@@TheGhettoBodybuilder nice. If something out of custody catches my eye, I may consider the move. Only thing I may be taking a pay cut coming there becuz the locality pay is different.

I just got done with my final Interview. I am going to start off as a CO4. I will be making $4,026 a month plus plenty of overtime. I will be working at the Coffeiled Maximum security prison in Tennessee Colony, Texas. I am extremely excited and nervous. I am so happy I got this job
I am in the process of becoming a CO. Can you make a video of these two topics * where do they place new co’s? Do you pick what level security you go into , do they place you based on your physical atributes ( body build , age etc ) * i also have a beard. Do i have to shave or i can keep my beard , i also have a nose piercing.
i got you. depends on the agency you’re applying to. the county jail i was at we had to shave, the feds where im at now, you can have a beard down to your stomach and nose ring
Mannnn, i be seeing some co workers bring in some crazy shyt to work, like space heaters, oven microwaves to cook their food on the unit 😂😂😂, you’re not supposed to but nobody really says anything. i just mind my business! i keep a book in my bookbag in case im working an assignment that doesn’t have a office and computers, my food of course 💯😂, & plenty of snacks. A puzzle book should be fine, just dont bring in the obvious No No’s like a pocket knife, handgun, or anything crazy that supervisors may look at you crazy for trying to bring behind the wall!
Don't work harder, work smarter. He's talking about working back to back double shifts. Those are long never ending shifts. You are owned and imprisoned. That's working harder. Working smarter is getting promoted and moving up rank. Getting specialized training. And going to college to learn something else. The better idea is to work less and make more money.
yeah, i seen people get hired on with the feds that worked as a security guard. That counts as a year of specialized experience. Even if they said they won’t take you, you can always work at a county jail or state prison for a year, get your experience and then apply for the feds if thats your ultimate end goal
You have to lock it up in your locker. You can’t even bring in gum. Most require a clear backpack and you’re scanned and patted down before entering the building
I’m looking into this here in Jersey I am currently in the low voltage field but want to change careers far as financially being. But I am a LPR can I still apply?
im editing the video on this topic as we speak. imma drop it sometime this week or next week. you don’t necessarily need it, the only reason i went to college and got my degree in criminal justice was because i had got a football scholarship, couldn’t turn down that opportunity
they drug test you when you start. most agencies random drug too. i went 5 years from my start date no drug tests, then randomly got drug tested 3 times in a two month period
@brandongoodman8539 shyt im not sure bro, i think they’re mainly testing for cocaine, crack, heroin, things like that. i would google it what other people are saying though to be safe. you may be good if its just testosterone replacement

talked to my homie who got hired on at BOP last year, he said it took 3 weeks to get his. i think its $10 k bonus
