I appreciate you posting this video man! I’m in the process of getting hired, waiting on my background check to clear but I’ve been quite a nervous wreck over an error I made. On my resume, I excluded a lot of my previous jobs solely because I didn’t think they were relevant to the job I was applying for (correctional officer), and on on my SF85P form for the background, I added all of my jobs. There was also some slight errors on my resume that I fixed up on the form, so I’m afraid I may not pass. For instance I put the wrong start date for one of my jobs and the job I work currently is mostly under the table. If the investigator called up any of previous and current job, I know they would vouch for me and my employment. Other than that, I don’t have any other issues. I don’t have a criminal record or credit issues. I have never been terminated or written up either.I already passed the medical and I already interviewed for the job. I took the drug test and passed, even took the exam. I did the direct hire event so it was all done in one day. I even got a conditional offer and I’m solely waiting for the background check to clear. I really need this job.
you should be good. Try to call the HR back next Tuesday and explain the situation. it was an honest mistake, we all mess up in life nobody is perfect!
@anonykay no doubt, i always try and respond to people thats supporting me. it might take a day or 2 sometimes 😂, i be workin alot of OT at the prison, at the gym, and working on these viddos, my notifications get backed up

Only thing keeping me from applying currently is my credit, i fell behind when i had Covid last October. I got fired for wrecking a company truck into a fire hydrant when I went night night at the wheel sick (common policy) and didn't start working again until this past December.
Is the physical fitness test the same for all people applying to BOP. For example, im applying for a medical position. Is it the same for medical staff?
nah dont be discouraged, keep your head up, i aint mad or sad about nothing! thats all i was hearing rumors. it might not even be that deep. i never stop making content regardless, i know how to shift my strategy, i got you my G 🫡💯
Have you had a problem in the past? We all have. Just owe up to transgressions and don't lie. The coverup is always worse than admitting to what you've done. Corrections need help. Join the team.
try googling common policy and procedures in corrections and see what you find. its mostly common procedure and policies specific to the agency, & prison terms
the officers who take the inmates on outside hospital trips are armed, & then the 2 patrol trucks that patrol the prison are armed with a shotgun, pistol, & assault rifle in the truck

I'm 48, I start the 17th of next month at a state supermax. Federal has a max age for applicants (like 35 or 37) but state does not.

Aside from physical fitness what is another category that will be beneficial to read up on or study prior to attending the academy?
Just learn to communicate and Deescalate the situation with you’re words and if you going to federal you may be tested on the shooting range

nah, but certain agencies you gotta be clean shaven or can only have a mustache
Is the state exam hard to pass ?
its not that hard, lot of it is common sense & knowing the policy they teach you in the academy. mostly multiple choice on the tests
