Dewalt portable folding table - Review and Demo
Kreg Table: • WORX VS KREG Folding W...
Worx Table : • Worx Pegasus VS Keter ...
Just bought one at B & Q in the UK today. It retails normally at £59 ( $ 79 ) including two clamps. With Wednesday OAP 10% Discount plus a further £10 discount , the cost came out at £43.10 ( $57.8 ). The quality appears good and I am very pleased . Will build my Pillar Drill on it tomorrow DV.
Was it sold as a Dewalt? Great comment BTW
I was just at Home Depot and saw this for the first time. I tried it out at the store and immediately knew I had to have one. After playing with it some more, I'm going back for a few more to give as Christmas gifts. Probably going to get some bench dogs and quick grip clamps to go along with it.
Glad that I'm on your list :)
@@AllCreaturesCount cool - early Christmas gift to self
I Ihave a little 8x10 shop (going bigger I hope soon, LOL) and have to move some of my equipment outside under a tarp canopy. I bought 2 of these tables AND I LOVE THEM! I use one for a Miter Saw mostly. I also use the Dog Holes for clamping and wedging wood projects. The tables have taken some low to moderate abuse but hasn't lost their strength; nor has the Dog Holes become damaged or worn so far in the months I have had these tables. I will definitely be buying more of these when I expand my shop, possibly to affix permanent items to like Drill Press, Old 10" Craftsman Band Saw, Miter Saw, Ryobi Sander Station and so on. For now they only take up may 6+/-" wide space on their side and fit perfectly in my little shop and are out of the way.
maybe you should build a permanent work table
Picked one up for my dad and we’ve already put some heavy use into it! No complaints, great product!
Is dad going to ever see it?
Kite Army lol, meant that he and I are the ones who have been using it.
That's nice your sharing :)
How has it held up? Going to get a table and thinking this might be the one.
Sold as Stanley in the UK. These are a great simple work top quick to set up. I was that impressed with it I went back and got a second. The two stanley clamps that came with them are pretty good too. The holes take the Black & Decker dogs. Just great when you want a top to work on a bit quick.
Funny -not sold with clamps here in the US
In the video, you complain about the yellow button. Well you shot the video outdoor in November. I have this table and it has one problem: The legs mecanism is affected by the cold. The colder it is the more difficult to operate it. I leave my table in the garage and there is NO way to open it in the winter (I live in Canada). I don't care about this as I need the table only in good weather working outside. So, if you need it outside in the winter, forget about it. Otherwise, it's a great table. It's so practical, I actually own two not only one. I hope this helps.
I got two and I plan on setting one on top of the other to raise the height, also side by side for long trim work.
That's going to be pretty tall...no?
Have one, the legs stuck and would not budge. Soak with penetrant and finally moved but a plastic guide broke with it. Now it sits deployed outside for light duty. Save your money
I guess anything can break
Hello there. Do you like dewalt table better than the pegasus? I have the worxs pegasus table right now and I do like it but the dewalt looks good too and light.
Which one do you think is more versatile as far as clamping for DYI?
By the way I just got the worx yesterday but iam thinking about returning it for the dewalt one
The dewalt is good - I use the Worx more often
What’s the height of the table top off the ground?
Which table do you prefer and why? I would have already bought this had it been 6 inches taller.
Just buy some bed extensions on Amazon and It will make the table lift up.
I'm not sure if I should get this or the Worx Pegasus for some basic small woodworking. It looks like you appreciated both of them. I know I could get clamps for less than the difference. Your suggestion?
OK - I do like the compactness of this model but I prefer the flexibility of the Pegasus. If you want to do shop type work I would lean towards to the Pegasus if you just want at portable table I would say go with the dewalt
Best all around table some are better but speed to open it and close it can't be beat and it's not that heavy
Good table for sure
Hi , is the same Stanley fatmax , no?
I believe so
Not only got a decent place for wood work, but next time one of my bass guitars needs adjustments got a place to do that.
These are super handy for sure
Es la mejor mesa de trabajo es muy práctica
The price now is just under $90 from various retailers
Thanks for the video..... The top appears to be plastic, but the frame and legs sound like they are metal. Is this correct?
yes - though the plastic is super strong
Dewalt shouldve gave the table a 1 inch overhang for clamp with smaller clamps
I believe that I was able to clamp on the edge - maybe because it is 3" thick?
Excellent Table Saw that is easy to set up and use.
perfect for that
6 years later and this has almost doubled in price. Is it worth $115?
That might be pushing it. Look at the mesh and the worx
I owned one and have used it a lot, not a bad table for the money
Your lucky to have gotten one....somehow they are in short supply
Not kean on the shammy clamping system and lack of rails ,the McAllister table is only 49 and has clamps too
I have never seen the Mcallister - will have to check it out
I bought the iWorx Pegasus, brought it back within a week, and went to HD and got this Dewalt Bench.
Much Better. The Pegasus opens OK but is awkward to close. At 30lbs vs 23 for the Dewalt, and no real carrying handles, the Pegasus is not very good at 'portable'
The Dewalt doesn't include the free clamps or dogs of the Pegasus, but at $30 less it is a much better buy and far more usable if you have to move around like I do.
All real good points
Quick question, could you securely attach a small miter saw to it? Say a 25 lb Makita ls4000?
No problem - this thing is super heavy duty
@@Kitearmy Great. Thanks
Sure thing
How does the Dewalt compare to the Works?
Dewalt is simpler and the works has more options
@@Kitearmy Thanks! Ended up with the Worx! Great reviews.
This or the pegasus?
This is simpler - just a table - Pegasus has more shop like features
The Dewalt table shows as a "special buy" for $70, with a normal price of $100. So that changes things. You can't necessarily compare the full price of one item to the sale price of another. If you can, then I can say that the Worx bench can be purchased for $75 off of eBay right now (via Worx).
Personally, I'd say that the Worx looks better for an average home owner (like me) who occasionally cuts a piece of wood here or there. A person who is using this as a glorified saw horse. The Dewalt looks better for someone who is looking for a portable rugged table. All of the nooks, crannies, and complexity of the Worx is a turn off if you are just looking for a flat surface to do various projects on. Lastly, if you are a professional or power user, then you should be able to watch these videos and know which ones fits your needs better.
Thanks for the videos. They do a good job of showing what they need to so that the viewer can pick the one that works best for himself.
That is a good way to describe the 2 - worx for someone who does light woodwork, Dewalt for someone needing a flat surface.
You say that the whole surface of the Dewalt table is clampable. Is that true of the Worx Pegasus? I don't think you talk about that in the Pegasus reviews. Pegasus has the clamp rails and comes with clamps, but what about clamping around the edges of the surface like you demonstrate with the Dewalt?
I have been always able to figure out a way to clamp on the worx. Although they have a honeycomb structure underneath that sometimes makes it more interesting - i just used it for one of my latest blower videos - check out the clamp setup
Thanks, which blower video? I checked your Walmart and Stihl blower reviews and it wasn't in there.
It was in the Stihl video - you can see the clamps holding up the blowers
That’s pretty gnarly. I like it.
I wonder if they will make these available for this holiday season
This is identical to the Stanley FatMax Express table. Both are a great value.
I couldn't find the Stanley product anymore - most be some sort of royalty deal
Here's a link;
uk.stanleysites.com/products/detail/Hand+tools+_+Storage/Tool+Storage/Workbench+and+Sawhorses/STANLEY®+FATMAX®+Express™+Folding+Workbench
Seems to only be available in the UK. Thanks for all the great table comparisons! They have helped a lot.
Thanks mate
X - CNC they're selling them in Poland as well
You can't find this anywhere right now. I checked Home Depot's website and there haven't been any available in the US for several weeks. What's the deal?
They are in short supply - I think were just a holiday special
Vincent Lee still on the boat from china
taking the scenic route
Now they are at Northern Tools $99.00
Nice table, wish they threw in dewalt clamps, two would be nice.
look for the stanley - i beleive it comes with clamps
After seeing your video I decided to get one. Thanks! I'm impressed with it initially. I cant wait to use it. Now I need to see what's offered as extras if any. They put all the indents for something. I plan on using it for my miter and chop saw. Cheers!
Cool - I think it is a rebranded Stanley so maybe that would help you find all the extras
Y cuál es el costo espero me puedas ayudar o dar una respuesta gracias
Jorge Vazquez puedes comprar en el Home Depot tienda de ramienta por $1,298 pesos o $70 dollars
Nice review, So no storage or clamps like the other two you reviewed in a Video?
Nope - more of a general purpose table
But is there any pinching?
How you ever use the Worx WORXSAW compact circular saw.
I'm thinking of getting this, the Rockwell or the Dremel Saw-max to do some flooring.
I have no experience using any circular saw. I think one of those full size ones are a little to powerful for someone who never used one before.
I don't think the danger is as great as with the Kreg. Although keep those fingers clear when opening and closing. This would be a good table - make sure you buy some clamps too
I have the Rockwell VERSACUT version and love it. I think Worx and Rockwell are owned by the same company.
The only table that pinches is the Kreg. Here are links to both saws;
www.rockwelltools.com/saws-sanders/saws/versacut-mini-circular-saw-rk3440k.html
www.worx.com/power-tools/saws/worxsaw-compact-circular-saw-wx429l.html
It's not as easy to plunge cut with the Worx version. Both are good saws.
Do you mean the Worx Pegasus?
The pushing problem goes away after a couple of uses
How does it compare with the other ones you've reviewed so far?
This is a more general purpose table as is the Keter. The Worx table and Kreg are more workshop oriented. Of the 4, I prefer the worx the most because it is light and includes clamps. My second choice would be the Dewalt.
Kite Army thanks
The Keter is OK but the leg deployment system is cumbersome
Thanks for the reviews! This is just the piece of information I was looking for. My Workmate from 1986 is completely toast after only 31 years. Getting the Workx to replace it.
31 years is a pretty good run
"A few holes" jeez. Knows his stuff eh? Are they US 19mm 3/4" or European 20mm? And do they follow the European 32mm furniture grid std?
19 mil -3/4 " or black and decker size dogs .
I need it!!1 Great video!!!
Thanks James - Go get it!
I have 2 of the Husky version of this table. They are durable and hold stuff off the ground. But for me or anyone over 6' tall the low height of the table makes it a drag if you're actually using it to work on something all day. I built my own with work surfaces that are 40" above the floor. And I routed grooves for 3 t-tracks that accommodate Kreg 6" auto clamps.
I could use a few of your tables....sounds very cool
Basically a tought built. But I would have to say the tought built has thicker legs.
I saw some new work benches at Lowes. Don't remember if they folded but looked good
Lowes - could have been the worx or Kreg?
Kite Army no it was a completely different. It had contours on the top part of the table so you can place things.
Not sure - was it in their holiday collection?
Kite Army I saw it maybe a month before Thanksgiving
Huh...I'm stumped :)
I think the Worx Pegasus is a bit more versatile than this table.
savagecub I prefer the worx Pegasus too.
@@Kitearmy works is now $213
@@mrthinc Lots of products have rocketed up in price - high demand, low suppy
I just opened the worx pegasus. I think it has better features than the dewalt.
I would agree with you - the Dewalt is basically a no frills portable table
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
Not so interested in the folding or unfolding. It is missing the bottom shelf which is handy, it has NO clamping devises and it has parts that will rust. For the price it will do but I will stick with my Pegasus tables. Of all the other tables out there, Worx is the bang for the buck. JS
I prefer the Pegasus table too - I'm working on a new table shoot-out right now
Hola soy de la ciudad de México donde se puede conseguir esa mesa a qui en la ciudad de México
That's what I would of said if my spanish was better
ve a Home Depot
wow a $20 dollar mark up scene this video was posted
这个不错!
Thanks for these videos. You made no reference to the fact that DeWalt table lacks FREE CLAMPS that are included with the WORX table. Also, no reference to pinch points which are greatly reduced on the Worx table. Videos should always end with a PRO VS CON SUMMARY comparing it to the current BEST that you have tested previously.
I try my best with these videos - thanks for the feedback
DeWalt table is $69 at Home Depot. A set of four DeWalt clamps are $29. So it evens out with the Workx table.
I like that the worx has a place to store the clamps
Awful expensive sawhorses- 2 for $150. But if they're DURABLE worth it in the long run.
These seem pretty rugged
go ahead and push on the leg cross panels, youll be returning it quick.
i tossed in one of the tough boxes of my dewalt system in the van and it hit the leg cross tin can junk weak ass shit box weak dewalt and by the way put a damn antenna in those radios will ya
Right
How does it compare with this one ruclips.net/video/9j1Tjk4CEjQ/видео.html
I believe that is the same product....
Talk too much
