Is it the scenery, the fishing, the friendly passer byes, the dinner gatherings or Amelia that charms the viewer? My money's on Amelia!

I love that spot at convict. We caught so many fish there this year. My 10-year-old nephew caught nine trout all by himself there one day I was so proud.

Same here, we usually fish around the same area every year. Glad your nephew was able to get on the fish. I’m still waiting for Amelia to reel in her first fish. We just came back from mammoth yesterday. Had a great time out there again although we were hit with snow, hail, rain and 50+ mph gust winds!

Anytime, we don’t feast like that all the time only on occasions lol. My friend Richard just loves to cook up the steaks all the time. Always a good time for some quesadillas! Any fishing trips planned for you?

Thanks for watching! Yes this lake is really nice, especially in the fall. Water is always crystal clear and has a nice mountain backdrop. Great place to take pictures and of course do some fishing. 🎣

Another fantastic video. Amelia is going to have great memories of fishing the Sierras. My kids loved convict lake and still do as young adults. Awesome family time! Good job Carey!

Thanks for watching. I’m glad she can look back one day and see all the adventures she went on. Will definitely continue the tradition of fishing trips out to the Sierra for years to come!

Happy that you guys got to go fishing again! We did our overnight fishing trip to Bishop and caught a couple of limits in the Bishop Creek Canal. No bites in the sand traps, probably too late in the season. Maybe we should have driven up to Convict Lake, but not enough time. Thinking about fishing SoCal lakes this winter until the Sierra opens next year, maybe we can see you guys at one of the lakes. Amelia is growing up fast.

Yes, we are actually heading back up to mammoth this week. It’s going to be cold but hopefully we find some fish. Looks like all the SoCal lakes are stocking now. We will definitely be out there too. Hope to see you out there. I might do Santa Ana river lakes this month when we get back from mammoth.

I haven't fished the Santa Ana River Lakes since the 1960s with my dad. Been wanting to try it again, big trout there, I hear.
