Thanks for this video. It is the only one I have found that actually explains how the transducer mounts on the bracket and how you change from FWD to DOWN views both physically on the bracket and in the software on the display. Good luck fishing!
How much luck do you have finding fish on the bottom? I fish mainly perch and walleye and have really struggled to get the side view to where I can spot schools of perch?
Gref .... I have had luck in the forward view seeing fish moving on the bottom. I do have to have the transducer one or two clicks facing towards the bottom (some what at an angle if you understand) I do have a video of me and my buddy fishing for perch take a look at it.. I think I do have some shots of the garmin screen in that video showing fish moving around at the bottom.ruclips.net/video/rlUIOGxnbLY/видео.html
so I just wanted to confirm something. To get the forward or down vu, you have to physically adjust the transducer and then the unit will change the view. Am I correct? Because I am very confused because the demo mode shows forward and down vu as two separate icons, which I do not have.
lucky vang it depends on the model you get I'm sure. I have the 73cv model and once I change the transducer position it automatically takes me back to the main screen and I pick the Panoptix mode and it is in the new position. I was confused on that also when I got my ice bundle. Hope this helps.
Great video, been looking for a review on this. How's the battery life on it, can you easily get a full day out of it? Also is it easy to carry around the mounting pole seems like it would be a pain to carry and wouldn't fit in the carry case.
Do you able to see your lure in another hole just right beside the panoptix in forward mode? I tried today I can't see lures, even changed to bigger ones. However, in down mode it catched the smallest lure clearly. Thanks
Marcum, Vexilar & Hummin Bird have some catching up to do.
In front mode if you click it down 1 click you won’t lose your bottom as you were sometimes. Great vid

Dan Munger thanks for the comment... I'll have another video up soon of some live action using it the other day.

Great video. I just purchased the ps22 and you taught me more than the manual, thanks.

Hey dude, I just bought a brand new 93 SV pan optics bundle. What’s your best recommended Settings for ice fishing
Awesome review man keep em coming!!
Do you still use this alot, 4 years later? Is it making a difference in finding fish?
Awesome explanation of how Panoptics works ever.
