Episode makes a good point: How you react one time is no guarantee you’ll act that way again. I like how the main character “gets inside the head” of the bad guy in the last sequence. To be able to do that is a rare talent.
I believe Police Procedure back then would have required the partner to be on the passenger's side of the car so he can observe what might be going on inside the car.
Excellent series, with lots of good dialogues and acting. It's rather psychological, about personal relationships than action packed. The only thing that bothers me somewhat is that such ideal conversations and friends rarely appear in the average man's life. So its psychologically packed. In real life, you'll rarely have folks giving you such clever answers as script writers come up with to fill an hour or two of movie. The difference between "sein" and "sollen" (what is versus how it could or should be) is quite substantial.
