It is grand to see so many of these guys in roles that we aren't use to seeing them in fantastic. I can't say i remember this movie as to many years shave gone by.
That was filmed Lexington Kentucky, my dad worked on that building as a Union Ironworker, and certified welder ,Local 70 ,Louisville Ky . Bo Wells cut the big air bag ,first one busted ,there was a second bag . The stunt man died trying to break his own record . They had got a successful jump prior to his death. Used to be the kincaid building it's actually Central Bank & Trust Co. Owned by Langley properties. I'm a night janitor there and I never knew this movie existed till tonight.

Gosh darn great movie!!! Gosh darn great music. Gosh darn great cast did a gosh darn great job. Tied for first with the best ever. Everything done gosh darn damn good.
My favorite movie!!! It just never gets old. It only gets old that after45 years, there is no DVD nor Blu-ray version of this movie in US. What is up with that??? It is nice to see someone still remember this movie and put it out there in 4k. Thank you!!
I agree because movies like these had never made it to DVD or Blu-ray disc since lots of people can stream these movies on their computers and cell phones and tablets, even though game consoles like PlayStations two, three, four, and five can register these DVDs and Blu-ray disc if some of the movies still exist for the formats.
Thank you from Quebec, Canada for this great movie. Reminds me of my dad when he was still alive and working as a welder, and how much he loved these types of movies! Brings back great memories! Thx.
I worked for Carson Helicopters as a mechanic and signal man on heavy lift jobs. Iron workers were the craziest and hardest workers we ever encounter. Brought back many memories of setting steel.
I loved how they hung Our Flag at the end. I remember those days when Americans were proud. Now we have some Americans, and a lot of American citizens, and a bunch that ain't.
My Grandfather worked in steel job the 50's 60's, he did well, can't say much about his six boys BUT my GRANDPA sure did good!!! PROUD OF MY GRANDFATHER AND HIS FATHER, MY GREAT GRANDFATHER WHO WORKED FOR THE RAILROAD, BOUGHT LAND, BUILT HOUSES FOR HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN. YOU BET I'M BRAGGING, MY GREAT GRANDPARENTS PAID, "PAID" TO BE AMERICAN CITIZENS!!! WE'VE BEEN IN CALIFORNIA SINCE 1899. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ILLEGALS TAKING UP SPACE AND GETTING EVERYTHING FREE, NOT ME.
The stuntman A J Bakunas died in that stunt. I think he did the fall twice and the second time the"air bag" burst killing him. I'm from Lexington and seeing the old town is pretty cool
Good cast and nice fun amoungst the workers while performing one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the world. Its sad that people actually died those days without using proper safety equipment.Im sure we have come a long way since then.Nice watching the famous actors back in the day again.❤
Yeah. It's amazing what happened in the past. As we say, if we restore it, then it keeps the legends alive for the next generation 😊 don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends about us 🎄
Love to see those fine, grand American automobiles, like the 1977 Lincoln Continental streched limousine at the beginning. And of course, gasoline at the pump was 79.9 cents a gallon. 13:40 Wow, so George Kenendy really only had a cameo role in this one. Maybe he should have stayed in the Lincoln limo, instead of mountaineering about on the beam without any safety harness or anything prescribed by OSHA.
Steel is more than just a movie-it’s a love letter to the unsung heroes who literally built the world we live in. With its gritty performances, edge-of-your-seat action, and a cast that delivers on every level, it’s a must-watch for anyone who appreciates a good old-fashioned underdog story.
Very true, hence why we believe it should be restored so another generation can enjoy it. Appreciate the comment. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends about us 😊
What was the resolution and condition of the source before upscaling? I have a couple of films I've been wanting to do something like this to, since they will likely never have an official HD version.

I knew helecopters were powerfull; but, I never figured the size of the ones in this flick could carry that much steel. I thought it would take the biggest military ships they have.
There was a movie that Lee Majors did that his and Farrah's production company produced. Can't think of the name. It had to do with piranhas and money. I think Farrah was in it also.
I remember watching this movie many years ago during the time when NBC once aired that movie because George Kennedy playing that role was short lived when he tried to rescue a fellow worker during a fire at the site only to die falling from there and all .
Wow what a movie, up there with no harness, Otis that just for the movie? Take my hat off to the Sky Walkers for sure, they got plenty of courage in the People that can do that for a living

Majors went back to his season 1-3 look he had on the Six Million Dollar Man. I recently watched some season 4-5 episodes and I'm surprised a simple haircut could make him look younger again. How many likes Lee Majors?
No annoying ads no commercials
But annoying cowboy music and irritating jocks.... Seems like we avoided cancer but ended up with Ebola.
Me I like him in the Fall Guy as well
As a 70’s kid he was a big shot as the 6 Million Dollar Man and cool as the Fall Guy with a super sexy beautiful wife ❤
