dandelion and burdock was my favourite childhood drink seems really difficult to find nowadays I also really like bitter shandy as children me and my sister thought we were so grown up having a shandy, dad would pour a little of his beer and mix it with lemonade was lovely 😊
This brand has been around for ages. As a kid if you had a "can of pop" with a bag of chips from a chippy the go to drink would have been Dandelion & Burdock ( rather than a can of Coke, which i think has taken over from this). D&B was also part of the Temperance movement. We used to drink a brand called Top Deck, it is now closed... it was another non alcoholic Shandy. The only other brand is Barr, they still sell Shandy and D&B (makers of Irn Bru).
Finally, i was wondering if you would ever get around to these. I love the cream/dandelion too. Dandelion burdock beats cola imo. I thought the bitter shandy was awful
What fun flavors to try and very different. You never find them in your grocery store. Maybe World Market or a store along those lines. They sound delicious. Thanks for a wonderful review and enjoy your day.
The Shandy is one of my favourite drinks, I remember when I was a kid it felt like i was drinking a proper beer (It does actually contain abit of alcohol coming in at around 0.5%)
I love cream soda yummy. I drink a lot of Dandelion tea and Burdock teas. They are so healing to the body. I even put them in soups and hot chocolates.
Were you thinking of Lucozade?, I normally see this brand in fish and chip shops. Supermarkets do do there own versions (in 2 litre bottles) of D&B, Bitter shandy and cloudy lemonade though, cream soda isn’t has popular as the other 3. Bitter shandy is often given to kids as pretend beer. (Non alcoholic). I would compare our D&B to your Root Beer, when I first tried Root beer i was expecting it to taste like D&B. Only for it to remind me of the dentist.
Did you wear your Mind the Gap sweatshirt just for this review? I love when you guys try British treats. I have never heard of dandelion and burdock before.
Ben Shaws Soft Drinks come in Root Beer as well but the ones you have plus the Root Beer are the only flavors they have. At least what I could find of them.
The big supermarkets tend to carry mainly coke and pepsi products it's part of the distribution deal. Other brands tend to be found more so in local stores and corner shops. Things like Ben Shaw's, Rio, Barr, where the big guys have not paid to keep other brands out
I have never heard of this brand of soda because its made in Canada. I want to try the cream soda. I don't drink soda but would like to try that flavor of cream soda. I love root beer so I wonder if that cream soda is better then root beer. I know they have different tastes.
These are sold in convenience stores and not so much in supermarkets. Its a popular brand and there are other flavours too. They usually retail around 50p.
Ben shaws is common in fish and chip shops aka chippys. Dandelion and burdock is my goto, never associated it with black liquorice though. The shandy is just beer for kids who want to play being grown up lol.

Aye when I was younger I used to think I was boss when I had the Barr shandy (the one with the blue label).
That's so sweet of your dad :)
Wow, what a line-up of unique flavors!

Are these available in diet?
@@TamiDunn Don’t think so

Trust me, cream soda is gross!

Yes! That's exactly what I was trying to remember :)

It sounds weird but is nice. It's hard to describe what else is like it. Maybe a sort of Dr pepper vibe.
It was a fluke! :)

They are made in the UK :)
The 500ml bottles of these can be bought in a shop called Herons Foods (north of England only) you can get 3 for £1
Thank you!
Hmmm 🤔 never heard of these... Thanks for the reviews 👍
Any time!

Wait do they live in the UK or the US?
We live in the US.
You FINALLY tried dandelion and burdock, I've been recommending you try that for the past 2yrs :P You need to try cherryade.
Weirdly cherryade hardly ever has actual cherry in it. It's purple carrot and something else.
It's so good!

Thank you! We really enjoyed it!
You can't go wrong with Ginger beer
I wish i had a dandelion and Burdock.
Bro in drinking bitter shandy rn
Cool!
Never seen these on the shelves, but don’t really look at the options as I’m a creature of habit.
I can understand that!
this cream soda was so disapointing. just tastes of sweeteners and artificial cream flavour smh..stick to a classic A&W or a faygo
