I recent got into jade after my trip to China. The more I research about jade the more I'm obsessed with jade. This channel got some nice information that I like.
All of it is amazing. I love the moss and snow look and also the deep green. I love to look into it and see the blooms of the mottled jade. It would be boring to only have a single look and color. I think if you like the look. The quality is just someone's rating. It's valuable if you love it.
Abso-freakin-lutely!!! Yes!!! All jade is beautiful. Jade has the most incredible story of any gemstone: It’s unlikely geologic occurrence, it’s 8,000 year history, and it’s unparalleled gemological attributes and ongoing mystery. It’s no wonder jade is called “the inscrutable gem.” Thank you so much for watching the video!
Dear lead me please i got jadeite beads braclet but im not sure its jadeite its light color some beads are apple green and some are very light green , i can see some sparkling effect inside beads , can you help me its jadeite or something else
Hi there! Not yet, but it’s definitely on the to-do list. For further clarification on Ice Jade, we do have many videos explaining it on the Jade of the Trade playlist. However, this video has the deepest explanation so far on water jade. If you’d like to see some examples of water jade, I highly recommend searching it on mkjadejewelry.com. Since they are trade terms, some people may disagree on the line between water and ice jade - but traditionally, ice jade is colorless whereas water jade has a faint green hue. Both are highly translucent.
Ive never really heard of water jade. By assumption I would figure it to have more of a clear aqua appearance. Icy jade is easily described as looking like a piece of ice/the clearer the better. Icy jades are some of the hardest to authenticate due to the myraid of imposters such as quatz etc. Hardness testing, refractive index and specific gravity evaluations are necessary in all cases where telltale inclusions and graining are absent. It is very easy to become a one time pigeon and get scammed if you do not buy from a reputable source like Mason Kay that have the equiptment to verify and provide you with a dossier for provinence/verification of authenticity. Beware online shoppers imposter/fake jades are rampant these days. My experience grows each day. A true passion for jade can be more addicting than a great lover!!!🙂
Imperial Jade is a gemological term for the highest grade quality in jade/the finest. It should be transparent but many imperials get the grade even when only translucent so long as all other qualities are fine such as color and luster...

Don’t think it will ever be popular in the west. Though this rock is very attractive
The 4 disc pendants are all not so good. Such quality does not exist in Chinese market 😂
