    • @99gypsies
      @99gypsies 3 года назад +12

      @El Dude No one was better to Israel in Trump -- maybe he was a little too good to Israel. But this guy never mentions him. If he was the head of Mossad for 30+ years he must know a false flag when he sees one! (The Capitol Building "breach".) No one was tougher on Iran than Trump -- and this guy says that Iran is the #1 threat to Israel and the entire Middle East. No one has weakened Iran like Trump. But this guy praises Obama for giving a terrorist government 1.5 BILLION of our tax dollars in CASH. (They give it in cash so none of it can be traced -- including the funding of terrorist organizations, bomb-building, and the MANY millions in paybacks back to Obama and his anti-American friends.)
      How can handing billions to the enemy to fund anti-American and anti-Israel terrorism make Israel (or any of us) safer? There is something REALLY fishy going on here. He even said he wants America in the Middle East. Weakening Iran, wiping out the terrorists (as Trump did more than any other president -- this guy failed to mention that too) and making peace deals means we do not NEED to be in the Middle East. But we never needed to be in the Middle East -- that is what caused the rise of terrorism to begin with.
      This sweet little man is either very deluded or very corrupt -- possibly both. But I did not expect a saint to direct (for more than 30 years) arguably, the most deadly and deceptive intelligence agency that ever existed.

    • @99gypsies
      @99gypsies 3 года назад +10

      @@paulywalnuts5008 Trump did not establish peace for the entire Middle East in one term -- you are correct. I guess he should have done more. ;-)

In those jobs, it's actually counter productive to be someone with top marks at school, because when you got top marks at school, it means you learned how to conform to a system and that the system likes you, so you don't need to make any effort to adapt and use your brain. @@5kr3aminMunk33 it is not about trusting, but about listening. The world of international intelligence is not only about spying but also about diplomacy and modesty. Frequently, foreign intelligence agencies are the organizations most intimately familiar with the other side, because you cannot be a successful intelligence officer without understanding your enemy as a human being. In Israel, for example, most of the former intelligence officers who go to politics go to the left hand side of the political map and strive for peace. Those that aren't familiar with the enemy as humans are usually the more populist. So this guy is probably much more seasoned and pragmatic than most of us about human nature. Yes, and that I can prove: I am Brazilian and I do not understand anything more than 10 words spoken in the video without looking at the caption. But now I'm reading the comments and it seems to be more interesting. I already got an author to research and what he said about the cycles of the greatest civilizations, said by the author (- Alexander Fraser Tytler).
      In addition to Alexis de Tocqueville.
      And another: those born in times of war (since 1947) on both sides and frontiers of that region of Israel: are they not tired of war? The common people, the father of a family who attends you in a store in Tel Aviv or another father of a family in Rafa, instructing you on where there is a pharmacy nearby (that is: I mean ordinary people who dedicate time to work, to take care of and having fun with them) are they not tired? "Or" - this example is from the experience of Brazil - they are so engrossed in the status quo that they find it (governments and groups always in conflicts, deaths, etc.) normal for life and for part of the day to day and that it will have no end ?
      In Brazil there is no gun control for bandits / criminals / assailants, there is only "control" - ologogical restriction - for the common person (who wants to have it for their safety, sport or for wanting to defend their property; these "excuses" are not valid , you can pay anything in taxes that you will not get a legal weapon), and with a hellish bureaucracy, counting on a huge amount of tax money to buy a .38 revolver.
      In Brazil, we have 60 thousand deaths from 'violent' causes in which firearms were used, the account already lists robberies followed by death, police actions, passionate crimes and faction wars, in addition to organized crime (whether political or dirty crime) - I repeat 60 thousand violent deaths every year, and many go unpunished, because when they are solved (less than 20% of some violent crimes) the sentences / imprisonment do not reach 3 years in a "total imprisonment" regime (for example: in a passionate crime, for a defamation and false testimony, moral and character, in which the murderer, in the heat of the moment, revolts from being betrayed and delivers only ONE SHOT, which takes another person to death, and surrenders to the authorities as soon as possible. then pleading guilty. And with a history of being a person without previous criminal records. See, a life (in a country at "peace" and with the judiciary abject and degenerated by rotten judges, with the morals and ethics of a charlatan. indoctrinated)
      In Paraguay and Uruguay, Brazil's neighbors, there is no "strict" control on this issue. So much so that Uruguay is a country with more weapons properly owned by its population in Latin America, but with a rate of firearm deaths so small that - comparing the Uruguayan country with a city - any inland city in Brazil with no more 400k inhabitants has more (deaths / year) than the country Uruguay in 3 years (deaths / 3 * year).

      He clearly differentiates between how the IDF (military) was established and how the Mossad was established. The IDF was indeed built on the experience and expertise of Jewish former soldiers in foreign armies who migrated to Israel, plus Czech military surplus. The trial and error part is only about the Mossad. Maybe its not clear enough but he mentions that Jewish-arab conflict began in the late 19th century, I.e. the jews had about 70 years of trial and error in conflict with the Arabs, even during the ottoman empire, before the official establishment of the state of Israel in 1948.

A large proportion of the Israeli public support expansionism in the West Bank and continued blockade of Gaza out of religious or nationalistic fervour and would strongly oppose changing the status quo, whereas the intelligence services know how unsustainable the current situation is and recognise that Israel must remain both Jewish and a credible democracy in order to guarantee long-term survival and prosperity. Overall it was a wonderful interview, and I also enjoyed Shavit's sense of humor... he's obviously a very intelligent man and was quite personable. Thank you Patrick, again, for another impartial interview. I love the fact that you can look at each person and every situation with a fresh perspective and consider each of his or its own virtues. I'm an exceptionally fair-minded person, but I don't know that I could do that. Between he and his wife they decided to ruin me. At one point my brother said he went to visit Israel with his new wife Louise Shapiro. He said it with a sinister tone, which he does to me when no one is around. Now, me, a quiet loving later in life bullied by my brother and his wife has been labelled, and people from the Jewish community have been mean to me to a point of using their kids to stand near me, then take fake photos, so as to frame me.
