In my opinion the D&D license could not be in worse hands than with hasbro. After 40+ years of playing d&d I have given up on official d&d. I found Castles & Crusades a 1.5 years ago and for me it is the best version of the game.
I too have turned to Castles and Crusades, though we use DnD generically much like asking for a coke or kleenex.

@@thepickleddragon8590 from the email I received it sounds like Shadowdark should be shipping soon. I will most likely not switch to running it but I will be mining it for ideas.
Playing d&d on a computer doesn't sound like fun to me
it's not our preferred method either.
