Nice I just picked up the R7 and R8 and rigged them both out. For my monitor I use the Accsoon system and use my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra as a field monitor and the mics I use is interchangeable between the Sennheiser MKE 400 and the OG Rode Videomic Pro + which I feel is Rode's best shotgun and has yet to top that microphone. And when I use full frame EF lenses on the R7 I use the Meike Speedbooster.
I didn't have to setup anything on the OSSE lilman 5 monitor. It's all good to go for me from when I power it on! You can check out my review of it on my channel!
Great vid! I just upgraded and bought the canon r7 and was looking to see how I can make it look like a filmmaking beast! I was using the canon m50 which I loved using, but I needed a second camera and so the canon r7 felt like the right decision. I was hesitant about switching brands and going over to Sony. Very much appreciated!
The R7 is an incredible camera for the price I have no regrets! I kind of felt the same way about going the Sony route but the R7 has everything I need with a familiar eco system!
