I'm pretty sure it doesn't say when Harry's scar is, it just says its in his forehead but in the British covers it's in the middle and in the movies it's on the side (quite sure it's right)

Actually, that's an assumption from the books that his scar is in the middle so in the movies, JK Rowling told them to put it on the side.
