I think these were the first type of dogs humans domesticated that led to many different breeds

I thought I owned a gsd x staffy but it ended up being a dingo x staffy I was really happy because I love dingoes. She is now 1 and I discovered her and rescued her from the streets as we thought she was a stray but I guesss not and Jude a wild dog. In nsw australia so australia is really one hell of a country

I had a Jindo Weimerheimer cross who was the smartest dog I have ever encountered. He climbed fences and also took the grates off of house foundations to crawl under to escape, yet he knew never to cross the street. He did not bark unless someone unknown to him entered the yard. He never chewed or destroyed property. He was always about 10 to 15 feet away from me wherever I went. He never asked to be petted, but I could go over and pet him, but no one else could. You had to earn his respect before he'd let you near him. One day, on one of his many outing, as he was a top notch escape artist, I saw him sniffing through the street gutter .He then picked up something in his mouth and came back in the yard and over to me. He gave me the item he had found. It was a wrapped nutrition bar that must have fallen out of someone's car. He passed away 7 years ago and I still miss him to this day. I know I was lucky to have just one like him in a lifetime.

Asiatic Wild dogs or Indian Dhole are the closest relatives of Dingo. They are very similar to Australian Dingos.

I am based in India and have experience about Indian Dhole.
They are entirely different and all together they are a new species, not wolf or dog or fox.
Also their behaviour and physical structure is also diff.
Only similarity they are also wild and live on hunt and belongs to dog family. So I don't think they are like Dingos.
yes, Indian pariah dogs are very similarto Dingos, Even they are accepted by genetic test (year 2014-15) as ancestor for Dhole.

Jindo looks and behaves most like a Dingo than any of the dogs you've mentioned.

    Don't you forget ?
Shibainu is looks like dingo, too!

Japanese Shibainu are smaller in size and their coat and color also differ.
But if you say that because of their hunting instinct and sturdiness and wild living capabilities - then yes they are very similar to Dingos.

They stuffed up the 'weight' info for the dingo/Canaan comparison.. (@ 1:04)
Weight (average): 13 to 20 kg, up to 27 to 35 _'kg'_ ??
    No pounds conversion here.. lol.
Putting that & other discrepancies aside, what the heck is going on with Dingo vs Africani info??
    ....Dingo height (average):
    Males: 53.5 - 61 cm (21-24 inches)
    Female: 50 - 53 cm (19-21 inches) .......................
    *Africani* (no female ??) but,
    Male: 55 - *💯* inches!?!?!? 🤯
