I am a Punjabi boy who cannot speak Punjabi. I think when I was a small child I can speak it but then I somehow lost it. I love listening to Punjabi songs especially Sufi songs like from Kanwar Grewal Ji and even Sain Zahoor Ji, though I do not understand it. I want to one day relearn it so that I can understand the songs and speak to my parents, family, and future wife and children in Punjabi.

I live in an area with a lot of Indian communities. I get many Punjabi speaking customers who struggle to communicate with us at work. I am a native Spanish speaker, so I know first hand what struggles come with trying to communicate in a second language. Hopefully a year from today I’ll be able to better assist my customers and provide better service. Plus I will love to see some reactions when I speaks to them in their language!

I am romani, and it's crazx how many words i can understand naturally when you speak. Romani is a cousin Language to Hindi and Puinjabi.
I definitely want to learn this language. I work with a lot of members of the Sikh community, and a lot of them have trouble speaking English, so it’d be really nice to be able to communicate, even if just a little
Lmao, great! If you'll learn Punjabi then it'll be damn easy for you to understand Hindi, but if you're trying to learn pure Punjabi then, it'll be damn hard for you to understand Hindi. 😊

I'm German and love Punjabi people and culture, I am a convert to Ahmadiyya Islam which has its roots in Punjab, many of my friends are Pakistani Punjabis.

ahmdiyah Muslim are not Muslim because in Quran it is written that prophet Muhammed is last prophet while ahmdiyah Muslim say that mirza is prophet after prophet Muhammad so this sect contradicts with Quran. Quran also says that all prophet come from prophet Ibrahim branch while mirza is subcontinent cast so how can he be prophet. U should read Quran and follow it which says follow Muhammad and his God not mirza so don't need to follow it. Moreover if mirza was prophet then why his name is not written for once in Quran.
Prophet muhammad name is written 5 times in Quran.
U should also talk with imam of other sects to know reality.
Or atleast read translations of different sect to know reality. BTW am also Pakistani punjabi.

Well, I'm glad you're trying to learn more languages ik it can be really hard but atleast it's fun all the best:)) I can relate to learning all these languages that you've mentioned I'm pretty much fluent in hindi(well obv), eng (angrezi medium skool go burr), punjabi (spent 5 year learning how to read and write), Spanish (3 years of reading and writing) and beginner lvl at Japanese (almost a year)
