    To say hello in punjabi we are suppose to say Wahe guru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fathe. This is the standard way of greeting one another and the most respectful way

    I'm searching for old and pure (typical) Panjabi words which are completely different from Hindi, Persian or any other languages.
    Nowadays, we have replaced those words with Hindi/Urdu words. Can you try to bring those words back into our Panjabi vocabulary?
    For example: we say 'Thakkia" for "Tired" but there is a typical Panjabi word like "Hambeyaa" etc...

      आज गुरू पूर्णिमा है।इस शुभ दिन पर श्री गुरू नानकदेव जी को श्रद्धा पूर्वक मत्था टेक कर प्रणाम हैं ।पहले हमारा घर गुरद्वारे के पास था।सुबह से गुरू वाणी सुनी है। तब तो इस दिन अवश्य जाकर सपरिवार दर्शन किए है।
      आज सुबह भी उनकी आराधना की,नमन किया।आज विशेष याद रखकर मन ही मन मत्था टेककर वाहे गुरुजी से इस वैश्विक आपदा में पूरे मानव समाज और प्राणियों की रक्षा कुशलता का आशीर्वाद मांगा।
      हमे पंजाबी के एक शब्द का भी ज्ञान नहीं है।आसपास सुनते है पर समझता कुछ नहीँ ।सोचा आज अच्छा दिन है गुरूकृपा से कुछ सीख लेंगे,सीखना शुरू तो करे।इसलिये गूगल पर शोध मे आप दिखाई दिये। आपसे पहली बार पंजाबी भाषा के कुछ दैनिक व्यव्हार के शब्द,मालूम हुये।बड़ो से सन्मान पूर्वक कैसे बोला जाता है।गुरूद्वारा मे दर्शन करे तो क्या ध्यान रखे। वीडियो में संक्षेप मे जरूरी बहुत कुछ जानकारी आचरण का समावेश किया है।उपयोगी है।कोई गलती हुई हो तो कृपया क्षमा करेंगे जी।

      Punjabis wear turban because it's a cultural thing whereas sikhs wear turban to cover their uncut hair and other reasons.

    Sat Sri akaal does not mean hello. It is part of the Sikh jai kara. It is a dharmic bola.

      Just because someone has grown up with something does not make it correct. Punjabis have taken it from the Sikh religion to use as a greeting. But it comes from the Sikh religion and was never used as a greeting or hello, it's the Punjabi or those who speak Punjabi that have misused it.
