I always describe Felix's voice as polished mahogany. This is probably my favorite version of this song, although Portuguese singer Fernando Daniel also does a powerful cover. I think Felix and Angelina Jordan are good examples of natural talent, and I do see your point about that, but I'm sure a lot of hard work also went into their development. I saw a woman on a talent show who lost her hearing as a teen and later taught herself to sing using an electronic tuner. Simple practice and focus can take a person a long way. Felix does a nice cover of Coldplay's Fix You; you might like it.
Never heard of this guy before, will be listening to a lot more from him in the future his voice is awesome !

Just a guy and his guitar spilling his heart. Class.
He is a street performer in his hometown, in Central Java, Indonesia. since around the beginning of the pandemic, he asked one of his friends to help to record this song.
You said it after 5 seconds! The richness in his voice, that is what melts my heart. Wonderful voice, Felix is one of Indonesia`s true diamonds. But let us not forget his guitar skills too. They are great! Wonderful reaction as well, thank you, Bethany 😊🌼💖

Actually RUclips started doing this long before her hat came in, Felilx videos are being pushed since months. And while the technical analysis is insightful, this song has so power and colour that complete music-ignorant-users can enjoy listening to it, at least this is what has happened to me

He's really good. The first time I ever saw him, was doing a duet with Music, Travel, Love. What I really like about this guy is that those "unique sounds" he used? He only used ONCE- he didn't repeat them, like so many do out there, when they know they did something that sounds really cool. There's only one he did do that with, and it fit perfectly, and that's the runs down he did, just before the word "song". That, too, is kinda a country thing- short, 3-4 roll-runs, (only way I could think of to phrase that), because it would bring him back down, keeping the song lower in key- setting up the really cool jump up to the only time he used that high note on "were".
He's what I call a "Presence" singer. People can learn to sing. to hit the proper notes, play guitar, etc. Music, especially music like Rock, has many who can hit notes, but they don't have this kind of presence. Sure, they get rich, have great songs, etc. But they are not I would call vocalists, or "singers".
This man is. His presence in his voice is solid, and stead, throughout the entire song- I've heard some of this other songs that many people rave over- Too much falsetto for me. Falsetto, to me, is something that's supposed to be used sparingly, and to paint, not to sing with.
Because THIS is his voice- and it's a thing of beauty. There's no need for the other, save in special situations/spots. Just one man's opinion.
Yes its a beautiful song. Yes Felix sang it so smooth with beautiful tone he got. But, also loved how honest and genuine the way you describe n explain them singing technique. It's like it didnt bother me at all everytime you pause the video, lol! All the best for your channel, Beth! 👏🙏😊
