Disney's Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant 2021 + Tower of Terror, Fantasmic View! Hollywood Studios

- Join me as we step back in time for dinner at Disney's Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in 2021, or as it's more colloquially called, Sci-Fi Diner, at Hollywood Studios Walt Disney World. This is my first time dining at this 50's inspired drive in theatre diner and I bring you along for the whole experience and share some fun facts along the way! I think I got the best seat in the house and I show you my dinner and my car-seat and also what the other seating looks like, as well as some fun props on the way out! After dinner, I bring you along on the adventure of riding Tower of Terror on a very busy and hot day, waiting in an over hour long line but enjoying amazing views of the courtyard, the Fantasmic show area and surrounding extended queue, beautiful views of the Hollywood Tower Hotel from many different angles, and the makeshift traffic system created for when lines are so long that they disrupt the flow of traffic in the park! It's pretty interesting and the sights and sounds of the Tower of Terror area are always so fun to enjoy and to share with you! After a long journey in line, the payoff of getting to ride and laugh along while other passengers scream in terror and delight, was such a sweet reward that I was smiling the entire time (even while editing this and watching it back!)!

Gotta love Sci-Fi's atmosphere, the theming is everything. And you just have to get a burger, it's simply part of the theming. The quintessential 50s drive-in meal

My daughter loved this restaurant....she got to be chef of the day and make a costume sundae with the chef...it was an awesome experience
We ate there on star wars day! Also scored a boarding pass while eating inside at 1pm! Greatest disney day ever !

Yes those are speakers and you used to hang them off your window to hear the movie. So many people would forget to put them back on the post and drive off with them lol
Sci-FI is by far my families favorite sit down restaurant at the Studios. I can remember when the Cast Members wore roller skates and they served popcorn for free. The Cast Members always used to scream when the 50 foot man gets the syringe stuck in him. Also this is the only place at Disney where you can see Walt and GARCO the robot together. The shakes are to die for. We could just sit and watch the entire 45 minute movie loop as well. Thanks for taking me back to my favorite place to eat Jackie!!
Wish I could have experience the roller skates and I miss the popcorn! I would have been so happy if they screamed at that part, instead I screamed alone haha!
@@SuperEnthused Some cast member friends I have that worked there told me they had to stop the popcorn because when the cast were on skates, they kept falling because of all the popcorn on the floor, so it was more for their safety. Also, the cast would also scream "I dont want to grow anymore" at the 50 Foot Man video as well. It was such an amazing time when Sci-Fi first opened. Glad you finally got the chance to experience it Jackie.

That’s funny! When we were there years ago, we were so busy seeing the park that we forgot to eat until hours after our usual eating time. Sci Fi was the first place we came to and we decided to try it. There was immediate seating so we walked right in!

This is one of the coolest restaurants I have seen. Many months ago, I saw a video of old drive-in intermission ads, so I am now able to recognize them if I ever come here.

Jackie, I just wanted to give you a special shout out and thanks! Your videos are awesome . My boyfriend and I watched all of them in preparation for our WDW trip. We went a few weeks ago, after planning for a year. It was awesome. Because of you we knew where to eat, drink, and stay. All your recommendations were great and we did everything on our list. Sci fi cafe is my number 1 must have reservation every trip! Wait... did you not get a milkshake?!! The milkshakes are the best in the entire world!!!!
It seems so silly, but this is my favorite restaurant in Disney. I love the design, I grew up watching those sci-fi b-movies, and I've never been disappointed by the menu. I am the target audience for the whole experience.

Drive ins were amazing even back in the 70's and 80's. One of the times I saw Star Wars was at a drive in. Tie fighters were like 15 ft tall.
I'm betting the actual tables are for people with mobility issues..

Sci-fi restaurant is a great place
I always felt like they should do this in Carsland in DCA out in California have a cars themed diner restaurant but make them all cars from the movie and play Mater shorts and other pixar themed shorts on the Big screen while we eat.

We love this place. The menu has reduced but I'd imagine that will be expanded again once things get back to normal. I know it's been a little on the hot side down there Jackie and you had that heat glow going after the HTH ride. But, this morning when I got up it was 32 degrees outside her ein New Berlin WI. That's tooooo cold!

Ahhh I didn't know it was hard getting reservations but good to know as soon as I'm able to I'm booking it for my disney trip. I really want my boyfriend to see it.
I hope they go back to giving popcorn because it was such a surprise when I first went and they had the whole popcorn machine. Ugh

They used to have the very best black bean burger on the planet! I always got it! The best burger in the world is at the Brown Derby at lunchtime! It is amazing!

They used to be speakers in a drive in theatre way back I can remember to go see a movie and hang those on the windows I sure do miss the theatres Jackie you should bring an umbrella for the heat.
This use to be one of my favorites at MGM Studios, they use to make really good Chicken Wings, but they took it off the menu a few years ago. I think the movie clips they show are still the same ones from 20 years ago.
Ate at Sci Fi Dine- In more than 20 years ago when our sons were young and loved it. Although we enjoyed the food, I agree Jackie that it really is about atmosphere. Thank you so much for reminding me about one of my magical Disney memories❤️
Wow! Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater looks like so much fun! To see all the old B & W trailers of Olde School 50’s Sci-Fi flicks would be fabulous! The car seating is a great idea. Tower of Terror looks like Wild Fun too. When you scream and then immediately laugh after is a testament to how much fun it must be! Another great Adventure! 👍👍

Ikr! I woke up early the day I could make a reservation (60 days in advanced) checked repeatedly until I left the house for clinical (it kept saying not available yet) got a break 3 hours later, checked again, & then it said no available times 😫 I’m taking my mom and brother to Disney for Christmas! We’re doing MK on Christmas Eve and Hollywood studios Christmas Day! It’s their first time ever going! My dad took me when I was a freshman, but wouldn’t pick my brother up to take him. I told him I would take him when we were older. We’re big kids now, so it’s time to follow through. Lol

I don't if they do this anymore, but years ago I remember going there as a kid and the kids meal came in a little car made of card stock or the like with the burger sitting where the seats would be. I actually kept it as my souvenir!
That was something special, just like getting the old time Happy Meal from McDonald's in the 80's! Unfortunately, they no longer serve it that way.
I always go there when I go to Disney world I will go again when I go in 2023
Agree sci fi diner is about the atmosphere. The food was good but with so many options I don’t think I’d keep returning. My daughter and I wanted to share a meal and they were kind enough to split it in half and plate it for us. I wasn’t expecting that, usually I have to do that myself. So that was nice.
I've only ever eaten at the Sci Fi Dine In Theatre once and that was when I first visited Orlando with my family way back in 1998.
My Mum ordered burger and chips and since we're British she expected chips as in fish and chips but it was potato chips or as we say crisps.
It was so pricey we've never eaten at a Disney themed restaurant again, we stick to places like Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom or ABC Commissary at Hollywood studios or the Liberty Inn at Epcot.
When in Hollywood, the only place we eat is SiFi. Food is really descent. We love it there. There is not one other place for us in Hollywood.

We were lucky enough to get reservations about 15 years ago, but when we visited early 2020, no such luck! Definitely the coolest themed restaurant on property!
