@@CykoruKun no. Patria AMV is designated XA-360. This is based Sisu PaSi XA-181, APC that originates from mid 80s. If I remember correctly, there are 4 base variants of Sisu PaSi. XA-180, XA-181, XA-185 and non amphibious up-armored XA-203.

I am a XA-185 operator in Finlands defence forces and i can gladly say that these things can climb almost 80° hills, its 6x6 with a 16l turbodiesel wich is a torgue monster. It can go on water relatively fast. Plus it can fit various weapon systems on top like that SAM launcher or 50cal, granade launchers to small cannons and other cool things🤗

Although this one isn't more Swedish than Linguine is Jamaican, the armored vehicles Sweden has actually developed are mainly designed for defending our home and native land, a concept that might be a tad hard for a yankee to understand... ;)

I’m pretty sure ITO 90M is anfibios, because there is a standart version of that thing called Pasi ( same thing with out AA rockets + meant to transport infantry ). Pasi was desinged to cross finnish terrain which contais a lot of lakes.

What's funny about these SAM is that the proximity fuse won't activate on an aircraft if the missile hasn't traveled far enough, but it will activate on a ground vehicle 10 meters away from you.
Sweden (and Finland) made these vehicles with games in mind, so you have a different experience than other countries when you choose them.

The funny thing is the "mister moon" meme is actually the commander saying "nästa mål" which means next target in Swedish
10:50 when you shatter that Jaguar the mach 3.5 speed of the Crotale NG is apparent - Tunguska's 8km range missiles are mach 2.6 and can be dodged but I worry about trying that with these and their 11km real world range...it's just enough extra to make flying a supersonic jet with antiradiation missiles a must or standoff munitions.
Good luck with that on a vehicle using EO to guide their missile and radar turned off completely

Most antiaircraft missiles will detonate near the plane they're trying to target rather than when they make contact. The reason for this is because it's MUCH harder to make missiles make contact with an aircraft (reliably), so the theory goes that if a missile explodes near or in front of a plane, the shrapnel is usually sufficient to kill the plane because, well, planes aren't made out of any sort of armored material (most are made out of very thin, not very protective aluminum). One of the key goals is to get enough shrapnel into the engine (by being sucked up through the intake) or by blasting through into it, thus causing the plane to either explode in the air or fall because the engine stops working.
With IR-Based missiles like the Crotale, they weren't really designed (at least not originally) to be used against planes, although the french later improved it to add the ability to use Radar guidance systems and network multiple batteries. This is how most AA systems work in real life, they're designed to link up to a very powerful ground-based radar source and receive targeting information from it, so they can operate at their maximum ranges. All of these systems are also designed with much less powerful targeting capabilities for use in the rare situations where they would be used as frontline air defense (like in wargame) although the main thinking behind this is to preserve some functionality in the AA units in the case the main ground station is destroyed (by artillery or SEAD, usually) or isn't functional for some other reason. The original crotales were IR-based missiles designed primarily to shoot at slow(er) moving airborne targets i.e. Helicopters, which they're quite fantastic at doing, particularly for Mi-24/35 based helicopters which have absolutely massive IR signatures due to their enormous engine exhausts.
As for balancing, the ADATS was never put into production because EOTS-based systems (electro-optical targeting system) do not work in any sort of inclement weather because if you can't see the target you can't control the missile with any sort of reliability. Canada was the only country that purchased the system, in very limited numbers, and they were retired after less than a decade in service because of their notoriously poor reliability. For the US, the ADATS never made it past the prototype stage because, well, there was basically no point in spending milllions on a weapon system that could be thwarted by something as trivial as the weather. In ideal conditions like in a videogame, sure, it's fun, but the ADATS is VERY unreliable in real life and honestly should be replaced with a more sensible system like the MIM-72 Chaparral (ground-based sidewinder).

if you got into the balistics research on the strv its a wonder of a tank. a modern tank with a highly sloped armor which every time a round comes in it will have a good chance to bounce and not only that but the sleek profile will make the tank hidden in areas that a normal tank couldn't hide.

The detonation before being able to penetrate might be because the warhead is further in the back, behind the guidance and seeker head.

That kind of content isn’t very fun to watch so...
Here's the problem: We literally get kicked for AFK unless we're either moving 24/7, or staying somewhat close to the fighting.
Trust me, I LOVE playing AA from the start to the end and completely shutting down the entire enemy team's airforce because they never expect the VEAK, but I keep getting punished by Gaijin with AFK kick or almost no rewards due to activity timer constantly.

Did Phly forget that antiair missile has VT fuse? They won‘t detonate while hit the target, they will detonate before hit it. Phly should use it in close range to anti ground targets.
It is supposed to work like that. THe explosive propels the shrapnel towards the AIRSHIP at incredible speeds. Lets not forget this is an AA vehicle.

As someone that is going through the Swedish tree, I live in existential pain of being under tiered in high lobbies. I really feel like alot of the tanks should be tiered down, especially after you pass rank 3. It feels like once you actually start doing decent you tier up and then get smacked again.

The Crotale prox-fuzes close enough to dispatch unarmored aircraft with its HE-FRAG warhead, but the blast is dissipated too much in the air to do much to a tank. The ADATS missile has a combo fragmentation/shaped charge to effectively dispatch both air units and armored things. I guess the balancing factor is that the ADATS require manual guidance and can kill tanks, and the Crotale can be radar-guided and is FAST (M3+ and 35g) - so is absolutely lethal to air - but doesn't have the shaped charge to handle real tanks (BMPs, and other thin-skinned anti-air units don't count as "real" tanks).
Hey Phly! With all the top tier helicoptors and plane missiles these days, the Stormer is a lot of fun again and works quite well. Helps that it's "radar" is entirely optical - No radar warning! It's great for early game shutdowns of overconfident aircraft, and then has great thermals for spotting too.
I'm not mad that he's dissing a Finnish vehicle, I'm mad that he didn't name us.
Whats funnt is that all the adats are considered tank destoryers cost more to spawn. Yet the shilka tungska can kill mbts and cost so much cheaper. Allied teams really have a hard time to spawn spaa sometimes.
