Thank You Master Pastry Chef. My Mother and Myself use to have a Cake Bussiness in the 80's at Home in Ponce Puerto Rico. I start when I was 14 years old and the Customers love Our Yellow Sponge Cake moist with Simple Syrop with Brandy with Italian Merengue. I went to Culinary College in Boston and became also a Experinced Pastry Chef.My respect to You Sir. I retired 4 years ago and I am Veteran from U.S.Navy where I was a Cook in a Submarine. I wish I can work again but a lot of health isues. I love Pastry of coarse and Cooking at Home. Again Thank You Chef.
I'm in culinary school and my teacher is horrible. She never told us this never showed us how to make a nice cake. Ended up making it homework and bring in. Then remake it. I practiced your cake all week to memorize and lol mine was better than hers...thank you

Steeping a pinch of saffron into the milk and using it after it cools really brings out the YELLOW in the cake 😁 and it adds a nice floral flavor in the background where you can't really tell what it is, but you know it's good! And it's YEELLOWWW like crazy 😆

I love Duff! I tried this cake, because I never can make a homemade cake that doesn't weigh a ton and tastes blab. This cake was easy and turned out great. I also made my very first Swiss meringue icing from Cake School. It turned out great! Thanks, Duff and Katelyn!!!!

Good tutorial Duff takes me back to my school days (a very long time ago) when I had a brilliant domestic science teacher who taught us the professional way to bake and cook. I still use the same methods today and they rarely let me down.

I have never tried the method with the parchment paper...i have always done flour, which is super messy! I tried your way this last weekend to make a cake, and it was waaaaayyyy better!! I will definitely be doing that again in the future, so simple and a lot less messy!! Thanks Duff!!!
