I'm so glad I watched this! It's taken me a long time to understand how there are literally no random words or phrases or lineages in the Bible. This teaching was really eye opening. I hadn't noticed the italics in 2 Peter 2:5. My 1901 KJV says noah, the eighth (person in italics), a preacher of righteousness.

That was a great video! Best of its kind for what I’ve seen on the subject. You did loose me about the 8 but 10 and getting rid of Enoch and Lamech. But you just popped up in my feed and I clicked. Never saw your channel before. I’ll be sure to watch some more of your content. Thanks for this study. I’d like to see down the rabbit hole you mentioned a little ways. That’d be cool.

In Jubilees found in the Dead Sea scrolls, Abraham does indeed bless Isaac and even gives the recipes for the peace, drink and bread offerings and how to do them to the letter and commands Isaac to do all the works of righteousness. Great video!

Great teaching, Ed! My jury is out on the apocryphal books, but I have read some of them. I believe it’s either Jubilees or Jasher that says Shem was indeed Melchizedek during Abraham’s time.

Keep it simple , the "order of Melchizedek" is the order of Priest/Kings. The King of this "theocracy" we call it today. Both a King in the Temporal and earthly manner at the same time a Priest of God.

    • @timothybrown9590
      @timothybrown9590 2 месяца назад

Yes, the High Priest and Priest of YaHUaH, meaning He cannot BE God, like so many so called 'Christians' tend to believe.
This simply enumerates the fact that they do not KNOW Him and stand prepared to hear that crushing phrase; "depart from Me, I never knew you!"

HalleluYah! Adam in the physical represents the father. We all should be. The father is the king of righteousness. It's Yah's priesthood.
Test the Messiah being created on verse 3 of Genesis. Verse 1 and 2 a proclamation of YHWH action. The Messiah is the beginning and end of time, and YHWH's plan for man. John 1 tells us who the light is.Colossians 1:15, HalleluYah!

36:00 maybe these things about Melchizedek having no beginning and end or a genealogy are not actually talking about a person who is in the role of Melchizedek but just the role itself?
For example, if I were to ask somebody 20 years ago who is the president of the United States? I would get a different answer than if I ask someone 100 years ago who is the president of the United States?
Just like Shem has a genealogy, beginning, and an end, so does George Washington, or Donald Trump. The person serving in the role has all of these things but the role itself, in terms of the order of Melchizedek does not. So when it is saying that he, Melchizedek has no beginning or end etc, I think it might be referring to The role of Melchizedek rather than whoever is Melchizedek at that point.

Hi, and nice to find your channel. This study was a real blessing. Shem was my personal pick, but could never understand the no lineage part. Thank you for showing how to interpret that. I have subscribed to your channel.
I know a fellow who has been saying that the family priests were the line of Melchesedic Priesthood. I can tell him he is probably not wrong.
Whence bringing in God as the originator of and being the first priest in dealing with Adam and Eve's sin and shedding the animals and thus covering their nakedness. Perfect!
That certainly rings true. Thank you and kind regards. I hope to be acquainted with you all in the future.

Excellent content and very well supported by scripture. I was very interested that Eber was the Melchizedek at the time of Abraham and also that the line of Melchizedek did not pass through Terah and Abram but went directly to Isaac as the surviving patriarch. So there were 12 Melchizedeks in that history before the Righteousness by Law was instituted through Moses. You have led us to see that after the High Priest Caiaphas transgressed the Law when he ripped his High Priestly gown, he forfeited the whole priesthood of the Mosaic Law as Jesus was standing before him being judged - and subsequently crucified. That was the defining moment Jesus became the Melchizedek for eternity. Thank you for this presentation it has all the hallmarks of a Soul living in the Light of Jesus. I have really enjoyed your presentation. Geoff.

Could these Kings of Righteousness be considered genetically pure (Image of God) and not tainted by the Serpents seed as Noah was considered Righteous (Genetically Pure) during the flood days.

The son of Zacharias and Elizabeth was of the Davidic and Levitical lineage, and also first cousin to Yahusha. John the Baptist (Yohanan) did not observe the feasts until he was called out of the wilderness to baptize with a different message of the coming kingdom and repentance. Why was he changing the minds of the Jews? Why wasn't he stoned by the Jews?
Sanctified by the Holy Spirit before he was born, Yohanan was not under the original sin of Adam. He was born with the ability to speak and the people marveled. Born under the same star, Yohanan did not know his first cousin Yahusha was indeed the Messiah, but after he baptized Yahusha he too would be driven into the wilderness, missing the first Passover and feast of Unleavened Bread and did not reappear until second passover for those on a long journey. The point is that sanctification is freedom from the law. It's unnecessary for the atonement of sin after sanctification. Until Yahusha would be killed and resurrected everyone was held in paradise aka Abraham's bosom. The last the enter into paradise was the thief and Yahusha. Nobody was redeemed until after the resurrection Matthew 27 52-53.
Yohanan's Melchizedec ministry ended when he was thrown into prison. Only one priest at a time? Yes, Yahusha's Melchizedec ministry didn't begin until after the death of Yohanan, a one year ministry. Hope that makes sense.

I have continued watching and this teaching about Melchizedek was a blessing. Of course Melchizedek was not a descendant of Levi considering the fact that when Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek, Levi who would end up being Abraham's great grandson was not born yet.

    I find this interesting concerning Adam;
Job 31:33-34 in the Bible includes the line, "Did I hide my sin the way Adam did, or conceal my guilt behind closed doors?"
In this passage, Job asks if he has concealed his sins like Adam, by hiding his guilt in his heart, out of fear of the crowd and the contempt of families. Job says that he has not done so, and that he was not so afraid of the crowd that he kept quiet and stayed inside.
This is from the Google AI concerning SethThe scripture that states "after Seth was born man began to call on God again" is found in Genesis 4:26, which says, "To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. Then people began to call upon the name of the Lord."
    Key points:
    Seth's son Enosh:
The verse specifically mentions that after Seth had a son named Enosh, people began to call on the name of the Lord.
    Interpretation:
This is often interpreted as a significant moment where humanity started to actively worship and acknowledge God again.
I enjoy the perspective of your teaching, God bless you brother

Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
This study only sets the stage for it's ultimate fulfillment in the 144,000, manifest sons. The royal priesthood will be of the order of Melchezedek. They will ultimately be the ones who rule and reign with Christ.
Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
They, ruling as one as Jesus' prayer in John 17 is fulfilled will deliver Jacob from ungodliness.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
This study failed to take it to the ultimate fulfillment and misses the point. Good work though.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The Royal Priesthood is not only Jesus but his joint heirs. This is the point few understand...yet.

Just speculation on my part: Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother,: at the time of Abraham he was W/O father , mother . Could he have been in the "eternal state". In the NT he becomes the coming Messiah in order to fufill Heb 7:10 that he had to become flesh Rom 8:3......again just speculation.
    at 27.00 in video
just speculation: Enoch was "taken" : laqach in hebrew; one of the meanings is to marry , or take in marraige, to select. to choose. Could it be Enoch was one of God's elect.
We read in Hebrews 11:5 by faith enoch was translated metatithemi one meaning is to passover or to carry over possible the threshold of the house of God.
"that he should not see death" 1st or 2nd death ?.
Heb 11:13 These all [died] in faith Abel to Sarah (1st death)
Rev 2:11 , Rev 20:6 , Rev 20:14 ,Rev 21:8 (2nd death) not good !! Enoch will not see this death.

The name Melchizedek Salem was derived from Igbo consonants, ('m l ch z d k s l m' and was pronounced as 'O melu chi eze di ka Ose e le ama' meaning 'is there a God King who is like the Almighty God looked at in the church') Melchizedek is not a person or a priest of a town as is usually expressed [Gen. 14:18] rather, it was what transpired when Abraham won a battle, and they were giving praise and thanks to Almighty God.

God has created all things , But Yeshua the first ( or Alpha ) made them and brought them to form. So in reality all kingship and priesthood has been brought to form through the Alpha who came forth in the person of the Messiah. That's how he can make king's and priests out of those he has called to passover to be written in the Lamb's book of life. I believe we will attend the Coronation of the Messiah .

Wouldn't the Catholic Church fit the descriptions of the "Order of Melchizedek "?
Usually the first born become priest , at least in the early church this was a big deal.
The Church is a Theocracy and not anyother form of government.
Just as Adam was the type of Melchizedek, and Jesus was the second Adam then the Order of Melchizedek has been revived and continues to be passed down in the priest/king ( Pope ) .
At Jesus second coming he will reunite heaven and earth and take up His reign as High priest / King in this united new world ( heaven and earth become one again )

    • @findingtheancientpath

Like any other Christ-based church, the Catholics get some things right and some things wrong. The fact that they have a priesthood does not make them the order of Melchizedek. The Church is a Theocracy IN ROME, but that government has no authority outside of Rome except the clergy. Thanks for engaging!

No. The order ended with Jesus. He is & will forever be our high priest & king. Being as Jesus never had a son, the line ended with Him because He is risen & is not dead, so He remains our high priest & King.

13:28 Melchizedek is a priest and a king. To be in the "manner" of Melchizedek, one must be a priest and a king. Difficult to do being only of Judah's lineage of kings. The priests were Levites. Being better than the Levitical priesthood doesn't mean not of that lineage, instead it implies something extra. Levi "plus" Judah. The Levites are God's tribe. They inherited God, and they became God's tribe.
