Cara Arevalo's work is so inspiring. I love her work. Goodness and blessings to you for giving yourself the gift of creative time- it is healing.
Aww she’s amazing, so inspiring
Nice work. It looks great. 👏 It was really interesting to hear how starting your RUclips channel has effected your enjoyment of painting. I think it is a common thing that many of us go through. My painting output and enjoyment dropped quite significantly once I started my channel. Partly because I felt that whenever I painted I should video it, which always seems to take twice as long, but also because I started spending time doing more swatching and reviews. I need to get back to painting off camera more often and get some enjoyment back.
Thanks for sharing 🙏
Aww thank you for watching and your kind words. I feel that all I think about is content for my channel, which is good I suppose.
I’ve definitely rediscovered the enjoyment of painting recently though, I love painting them mandalas, especially since there’s no pressure with them.
I'm from Canada, and I've only ever heard them called pins :) Q-tips is technically a brand name, but we also call them cotton swabs or cotton buds. Earbuds around here would be understood to mean in-ear earphones.
Beautiful painting too; I'm guessing that first colour was potter's pink? It gives it a really nice texture to build the rest of the painting on.
I have a whole set of sennelier paints too that I've found I don't enjoy the way they flow either; they don't work super well with my painting style. I like paints with less flow; the honey based paints are hard to control, and I like daniel smith, schmincke, and da vinci better.
Hey thank you for watching the video and also for the name clarifications lol. I genuinely have been wondering what these things are called in different countries since making this video lol.
Aww thank you, I’m pleased with it and yes it’s potters pink by W&N. It’s the first time I’ve used it and I love it!
I totally understand what you mean by Sennelier or even any brand that performs differently to how you prefer to paint. My preference is W&N but I know a lot of people don’t like them. I have however learned to really appreciate my sennelier set 😊
