Finally I can see the true art of fighting with out fighting! How many times have you heard this famous saying but never truly see it? Well now you have!
Some great acting here...its easy to dismiss the majority of acting on the show as Carradine playing a tranquil monk stereotype and sleepwalking through his line...but he was a serious actor and gets to show off his range here!
I simply loved Kung Fu in the 90s even more then in the 70s. He chose the right strategy to get out of this situation, remind that Kung Fu ist not just martial arts, it also contents Zen Buddhism and and TCM as well.
Shaolin Kung-fu is based on Buddhism, others are not, for example Wudang Kung-fu is based on Taoism.

The 1970s series had more of a spiritual aspect to it. I'd faithfully watch it growing up, along with Star Trek. And since I grew up in the NYC area, Saturday nights had Chiller Theater. But I was banned from watching Dark Shadows. Good thing I had a small television in my room. My mother thought that I was doing my homework, & there I am, with an ear plug to silently listen to & watch the show. But the 90s Kung Fu television show, it just wasn't the same. I watched it, but never accepted it. Besides, the 70s show was set to the theme of nineteenth century American wild west. This was in the 90s. No Shaolin monk even lives that long. He had to be Caine's great grandson.
@ in Kung Fu the legend continues- David Carridene played the grandson of the Cain in the original series. The show was pretty good in the beginning but got dumber later on with time travel stories and magic that was unbelievable.
My preferred episode with great David Carradine ahha, crazy. David Carradine said: there is nothing Anthony Hopkins or Eastwood doing that I can't do. One of best actor all time for me
I used to be an angry man, violent and with uncontrollable fury. It wasn't until I started watching Caine I centered my chi. Now I plant flowers and garden and go for walks and meditate by the lake.
I loved this episode. You wantz to see me act crazy? He did it so well. I loved that show. Come to Chinatown. Ask for Caine. And his son Peter the cop. One of my all time favorite shows. Don't know why it's not on syndication. I flew to San Diego in 95 and before I left I programmed my VCR for the 1st time to record a show. Kung-Fu the Legend Continues. So glad I recorded a couple dozen.
They really went in a different direction with the return of this ONCE GREAT show...David Carradine and Jan Michael Vincent once bought me a drink at SPLASH in Zuma beach once.....true story

I liked David Carradine in the 70s show, Kung Fu, along with the television movie. But this series was almost a spit in the eye to the Caine character in the original series. That Caine would have never behaved this way.
I was in "Big Stan" with him. We were literally in prison together. I said to him, "Snatch the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave." He just smiled.
OMG!! This is my favourite "Over the Top Carradine Blow Hole"! REALITY CHECK: he'd have been flattened in two seconds!! What a joke!😄😄😄 Worse yet, once in solitary, he escapes through a 10" x 10" air vent!! Love it!❤️🙏❤️🙏👍
Make them think you're crazy, an excellent diversion

Especially if there's a wooden beam available. Start hitting yourself over your head & laugh. When finished, ask, 'Okay, who's next?'. You'll get respect real quick.
If someone asks you if you're a god, you say "Yes!" If someone asks you if you're an organ donor, you say "No!" And if an old man starts talking like a fortune cookie while going through kung fu stances, you run like hell.
@ I think you missed the original commenter (and my) sentiment, this was an awful scene in a ridiculous series and we were mentioning that the original was something to look forward to. So I guess we're all three Kung Fu Brothers LOL
Caine is looking pretty good for being at least 150 years old. The 70s show was based in the 1800s. Let me guess, David Carradine is playing Caine's Grandson in the reboot?
"Do not ask for the Dragon unless you are prepared to recieve him! Do not ask for the Tiger unless you want to be eaten!" In other words: Fuck around and find out!
I've never seen this scene before but this reminds me of when my daughter and her friends demanded i play super smash brothers with them. HA! Be careful what you wish for kiddo
My friend pulled a stunt like this in 6th grade to get rid of a bully. He round housed kicked the bully to the ground. Great, except when the bully got up my friend ran away
Ok folks... Do yourselves a favor and watch the original show. Start with "Crossties" from season 2 if you want to see Caine at his best. Just sayin'...
I will bet that he enjoyed that particular scene immensely!
RIP to an really good, versatile actor. We miss you! ♥
Finally I can see the true art of fighting with out fighting! How many times have you heard this famous saying but never truly see it? Well now you have!
"Do not ask for the wolf unless you wish to be hunted"
If you had aids people would avoid fighting you.
I love the mind games Cain played on these guys!!
I couldn't help but laugh during this scene. RIP David Carradine.
He left us too soon. RIP my friend. Put in a good word for me.
He's not locked in there with them, they're locked in here with him.
You messed up the reference…😂
Now we know what to do if we get locked up.
Thanks, Dave!
@buzz magister You were missing the reference.
@@neskid26 no I think that person gets it. He's just saying it in a different way.

Holy Cow! Kung Fu was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid and I never heard of these shows till now or I would have watched them!
@Maybe he borrowed Doc Browns Delorean!
Same here. I've seen more of his recent stuff from youtube than on television. I only knew of 2 films after his original kung fu had ended.
I simply loved Kung Fu in the 90s even more then in the 70s. He chose the right strategy to get out of this situation, remind that Kung Fu ist not just martial arts, it also contents Zen Buddhism and and TCM as well.

David Carradine said: there is nothing Anthony Hopkins or Eastwood doing that I can't do. One of best actor all time for me
Alex Guerrazzi
Clint Eastwood has repeatedly said he considers himself to be a poor to mediocre actor.
But, he believes he is a very good director.
Which episode is this?
1:09-1:23 terrifically deranged and stylishly intimidating. Caine is a boss. LOL, oh my lord.
David Carradine laugh 😂
loved the 70's show so much but I couldn't stomach this reboot... bailed out before watching the entire pilot episode
Not a reboot, but a continuation.
That's too bad. You missed a good show especially the relationship between him and his son Peter.
Hiding one's true intentions behind a mask of insanity can sometimes keep those who would have hostile intentions towards you at a distance.
I used to be an angry man, violent and with uncontrollable fury. It wasn't until I started watching Caine I centered my chi. Now I plant flowers and garden and go for walks and meditate by the lake.
How very very very uninteresting!
Amazing, big congrats on the turnaround!
RIP David Carradine
LittleDebbie187717 The world became again worse after David Carradine's dead....
🙏😢😢
Brilliant Caine! Just act like you're insane, and it's a foolproof get-out-of-jail-free card!
It got him put in Solitary where he could escape through the walls and then he magically reappeared after he helped solve the case.

Clever, he uses his intelligence to get out of that hell hole :)
Des o no weapons, just his hands and his wits. I fucking love Caine!
Kwai Chang Caine's son would've been shocked to see his father going crazy in a cell with the other prisoners while he was framed for murder.
I can see most of them laughing, that even makes it better 1:18 lol

its a mind game.such an art i like doing.
One of my favorite shows first they used to showed on WOR -9 then they moved to TNT
I used to do the same thing in high school to keep the bullies at bay. It always worked.
Yep, you have to appear twice as crazy as they are.
Sometimes the image of madness can be the sanest expression to wear in a world turning stupid.
Do not ask for a tiget umless you wish to be eaten.
Translation:Do not annoy someone who is more powerful then you
unless you want to be harmed.
In more simple words, careful what you wish for, and don't bite off more than you can chew
Never look a gift horse in the mouth...... no? Am I close at least? Ah for fucks sake I'm so bad at this game....
Not really a game, just paraphrasing what cain said
no sorry Feralbigdog2 I was just trying to make a joke but saying a quote that had nothing to do with yours and the Russian guy and cane
Злой Волшебник or translated to an Americanized expression : " be careful what you wish for, you may get it .
0:36- Love this quote and 1:09-1:23 David Carradine laugh 😂😂
this man was a great actor!!!
What the cops failed to realize is that solitary confinement is to a Shaolin monk what a beach full of semi naked women is to the common man
I saw this one. Solitary = no witnesses = quick, easy escape.
I don't remember how he ended up inthe 20th Century.
Caine's grandson maybe??
Yes I vaguely remember it.
Geoff Clayton+ no he's not.
Regina Reece cops lack education and knowledge
And what social media is to a narcissist as well...
"Is there not enough trouble here without causing more?"
even kung fu masters when sent to jail have act crazy
Bloody hell, Caine definitely kick ass ✌🏻️
I was in "Big Stan" with him. We were literally in prison together. I said to him, "Snatch the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave." He just smiled.

"I told you! I'm a karateman!! Karateman bruise on the INSIDE!"
YEAUUH!!!
Well, that’s two minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
2 minutes of learning you aren't the craziest sumbitch to walk this earth. Be grateful, friend.
That's exactly what I did when they tried to lock me up.
Kung Fu TLC seen this episode to.😊👍👊
The old saying this is a prime example, "Don't go looking for trouble because trouble will find you".
The "framed for murder" thing in this episode may be yet another call back to the original series .
The art of fighting - without fighting... : )
Me love watching Kung Fu Tiger it's a weapon self defense.😊👍
Make them think you're crazy, an excellent diversion
Especially if there's a wooden beam available. Start hitting yourself over your head & laugh. When finished, ask, 'Okay, who's next?'. You'll get respect real quick.
Bludy ell Glasshopper at it again
If someone asks you if you're a god, you say "Yes!"
If someone asks you if you're an organ donor, you say "No!"
And if an old man starts talking like a fortune cookie while going through kung fu stances, you run like hell.
Lol
Lol
Or yo just bitch slap him and tell him to sit down
I knew bath salts were bad
Juan hee hee 😜
Time to fight crazy ancient king fu master in cage.
That's some good 4D chess right there.
Superb bluff.
at 0:51 that kick brought to the aggressor😅
That first kick at 0:51 was hilarious. It looked like a grandpa shooing way s fly.
i used to look forward to watching kung fu
Wally Tverstol , right? I LIVED to watch that show. I believed it was all real! kidhood, lol
@ I think you missed the original commenter (and my) sentiment, this was an awful scene in a ridiculous series and we were mentioning that the original was something to look forward to. So I guess we're all three Kung Fu Brothers LOL
Do not put me in the same cell as him,OMG!!! He's wacko!! Lol
I really liked his show.
So this is Caine???
Tripped through a time portal from the old west into 1970??? LMFAO!
Damn, I thought we were finally going to get to see Caine, without them putting him in "Slo-mo"-mode.
Everybody loves Kung Fu fighting behind bars.
This would have been a terrible time for Grasshopper to have a flashback.
Caine is looking pretty good for being at least 150 years old. The 70s show was based in the 1800s. Let me guess, David Carradine is playing Caine's Grandson in the reboot?
Yes, he's the grandson of Kwai Chang Caine. His father is Matthew Caine who is the son of the original Caine. We see Matthew Caine in one episode.
That robber must not have watched Kung Fu when he was young.
He's the grandson of the original Caine.
You RAN!!! you left me hangin' lmfao He's sitting meditating on the floor and they fuck with him, come on.
I think we saw Carradine's true personality.
😸
Ultimate Matchup: Kwai Chang Caine vs Gunnery Sergeant Highway. In a jail cell like shown.
😳 I think we need to call on Dr David Schultz! for some Law and Order!
File under tactics that never work in real life.
I defined delist, here.
That's the "tall man's" (fantasm) twin little brother
Carradine never really bothered to actually learn Shaolin style kung fu
"Do not ask for the Dragon unless you are prepared to recieve him! Do not ask for the Tiger unless you want to be eaten!" In other words: Fuck around and find out!
🤔Well, this didn't work so good for Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) in the movie "Trading Places".😁😂😁
Sad to see how the series disintegrated into this nonsense loosing its philosophical and peaceful gravitas.
I've never seen this scene before but this reminds me of when my daughter and her friends demanded i play super smash brothers with them.
HA! Be careful what you wish for kiddo
So he went crazy. A man can get stressed when he's facing a murder rap.
Alright Stan thats not funny....well yes it is !
that what happens when shoulin preist go senile
Never saw the 1990' s version Kungfu the legend continues. I believe it had a limited viewer ship .
Not because the show wasn’t good, it was simply syndicated so not every market picked it up
This shit looks just like a Dave Chapelle comedy skit.
Roush26, what an idiot!
By chance, this isn't the same Caine from the 1970s television show. That Caine would never act so psycho. Must be his great grandson.
I have never seen this movie before.
Great series👍
What is it named?
Caine was smokin' that shit..!
Ok, no more Irish whiskey for Shaolin...
Yeah, wait till Uma shows up. Bang bang.
Yeeeeah right. When they throw me in the can with 15 angry black men, I must remember to scare them all . "I know Kung Fu ! Better not hassle me ...."
ILike Zappa, r u missing anything from F.Zs catalog?
If you do know Kung-fu like Caine it will probably work.
1:07 Do NOT play asphyxiation games, unless you wish to be strangled!
I once tried that in jail, and it worked.
cndvd
I once tried that in jail.
They killed me.
Lesson learned.
@@RobynHarris You got to use Shaolin Kung Fu Style
Bill just having fun…
This may have worked back then, but now that everyone is so familiar with most martial arts forms, most tough guys would just laugh and kick his ass.
That was in the 1990's and not the old west.
wow... amazing potatoe
Well,if they so bad, did they just lock themselves up in prison?
Grasshopper has lost it..
That fool went crazy. Don't they have places for people like him
My friend pulled a stunt like this in 6th grade to get rid of a bully. He round housed kicked the bully to the ground. Great, except when the bully got up my friend ran away
I miss that show.
A bit more feisty than the original!
i go crazy over the resolution
Well done, grasshopper
O Kung Fu Panda aprendeu tudo com Caridine
Chuck Norris simply bit through the bars
Bruce Lee must have been sick on his stomach watching him do his part so badly. Wish Bruce could have done this show. It was his idea.
thats debatable and that claim made famous by the movie Dragon the Bruce Lee story and Lees estate
He barely aged from 1880 to 1980
Ok folks... Do yourselves a favor and watch the original show. Start with "Crossties" from season 2 if you want to see Caine at his best. Just sayin'...
