I was just getting ready to comment that it looked like you'd had at least one and possibly two Laplands with that flock of Snow Buntings. Lol. Glad you caught that.
Haha thanks Cliff.
It's like one of those Magic Eye posters. The more I look back at it, the more I start seeing 😁
The Lapland longspur looked amazing with the snow buntings. I used to see some in northern Nebraska during the winter.
Thanks Nathan 👍
Another great video. I’m really impressed with your ability to capture birds in flight. I’m still learning how to keep them in the centre of the view finder when tracking them. Thanks.
Thanks Keith
Tracking is one of the most challenging things to do. We've already missed a Cooper's Hawk fly-by this year because I wasn't able to get on it as it flew. Having said that, once you get on it, you can tidy some stuff up during video editing.
Great footage! I’ve been trying some bad videos. Clearly you know what you are doing. It’s fun watching the bird species ‘count up’.
Thanks Mike. Yep, these videos are a lot of work lol. But we're enjoying the process and it is motivating. Thanks for following along 😊
Brilliant video again! And congratulations on your growing total and seeing so many snow buntings! The Ross goose thing is really pretty 😍 A pleasure to follow your journey. Looking forward to MORE ✨
Thanks as always Kate, much appreciated ☺️
Awesome video, you guys definitely gotta hit that 300
Let's hope so!
Congratulations on the ROGO. You may have been at the cemetery at the same time as me. The SEOW'S don't come out on 10th until dusk.
Thanks for the tip on the time. We may not have gone far enough down 10th, either. We weren't sure exactly where and assumed near the tracks because of the sanctuary.
@@BritHikesOntario Right in the RR track area slightly south. People also see a RLHA there but I have missed it 5 times lol.
Realmente interesante y motivador.
Un saludo.
Juan Antonio
muchas gracias Juan!
Another Longspur at 7:11 on the right side. I was at this spot recently and I also had to look through my photos for the longspur.
Tbh, each time I watch it, I see more LALO and HOLA 😁
Great tally!
Thanks Tracy, was very pleased!
Another great video! Curious what are you filming on? The footage is always so great! Kudus to you as the filmer too
Thanks 👍
I use a Mirrorless Nikon. Mainly cos I've always shot Nikon. Not sure if I will stick with them in the future. I feel they are falling behind Canon and Sony.
Amazing Snow bunting footage!
Thanks Nigel 😊
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always
Thanks Miguel 😁
I admire your dedication to the challenge. I'm not sure I could survive in negative temperatures. Great video as usual!
Thanks bud. I dread to think how cold it was, but it was legitimately frostbite levels of cold with the wind.
A crazy Swedish bird watcher now subscribed, will be great to follow your adventures and learn about some Canadian/American bird species
Welcome! Friendly spot starting to form here in the comments and I'm glad you'll be following along.
You're killing me... a bald eagle!!! 😜
Haha MJ 😊
I know roughly where you live. You'll get plenty of Bald Eagles around there, especially at this time of year. Keep your eyes to the skies!
😘😘
A first for me yay... uploaded 2 mins ago... That's some good timing... congrats on the Rare!
Haha, race for 1st. I admire the enthusiasm 😁
Hheeeeeyyyyy that's cheating, ticking a bird you didn't even know was there at the time #lapland hahahahaha I'm just kidding of cos, your list, your rules. But tbh and in all seriousness though I personally wouldn't count a bird like that, esp if it was a lifer. My rule is I have to ID the bird to make it count on my life list. Another great vid you two looking forward to the next one...looks blimmin cold there too tbh. 👍
Thanks Shaun. Yeah, it was literally frostbite levels of cold 🥶
Those are some strict rules you have! Not a criticism, good for you, it must encourage you to become more expert in identifying a new bird before counting it.
Just a personal rule, I gotta seen em to count em. @@BritHikesOntario 😀
I'm with Stu on that one Shaun, I would definitely count something if it showed up in one of my photographs!
For me personally 'seeing' birds out in the field and enjoying them in the flesh is what I enjoy most so I don't see the point of ticking birds from a photo if you haven't consciously enjoyed the bird for real. Might as well buy an Canadian or British bird magazine and tick all the birds from the photos...same experience. But honestly don't sweat it as I've said your list , your rules. I really enjoy both your channels and will continue to be a returning viewer it's just personal preferances..no worries the both of you. Keep up the great work.@@TheBackyardAviaryAdventures

I wonder how many kilometers you travel in a day like that?
Hamilton is probably about 90km from where we live, so maybe 200km that day.
Other weeks we stick to our local area. So it depends.
Thankfully, from an environmental standpoint, neither my wife or I commute to work.
😊👍💕🐦🦢🦆🦅
😁
I discovered your channel from the @caseyoingo6440 channel, and I very much enjoyed following you on your bird quest in this video. New subscriber.
Hey Carol, thanks for popping over. You'll see my version of events with CaseyOingo in the next couple of days lol 😊
