- Hey everyone, welcome back to AnimeEveryday! The channel is returning with the same style and quality of videos, but with a new team behind it.
Obviously, the community and the anime that has been released have changed a lot in the last few years since this channel was active, so do let me know in the comments which anime or topics you’d like us to discuss.
I can’t wait for you guys to see the videos we’ve been working on and although I may be new and not what you were first expecting with the return of this channel, I hope that you give me a chance.

I really hope the new team covers hidden gems/underrated shows. That was one of the best things about this channel. His taste was so good. Always appreciating the classics and hidden gems.

Wow, I can't believe this channel will start to upload again. I'm excited about the new videos, although I can't deny I will definitely miss seeing Lewis, since he's the reason I actually subscribed in the first place.
Lewis will always be the GOAT, but we plan to bring a lot of great videos that were hoping you'll all enjoy!
Holy shit welcome back! In terms of topic suggestions, Sonny Boy was one of the most unique original anime of last year, so I’d be curious in hearing your takes on it whether it be a review or a more specific analysis if you’re interested in it. Looking forward to seeing what the new team has in store.

I’d be interested to learn more about the way facial expressions and the way they’re animated has changed throughout the years. With hand-drawn animation, a lot of the expressions were stiff and lacking in authenticity, but we can see now a more developed animated range of facial expression, and bodily expression as well. There are still anime tropes in terms of it, and certain go-to poses that can make many shows feel identical to each other, but I wanna see how the cream of the crop from the early days of anime, versus the cream of the crop of modern anime has changed in how their characters express emotion, how it can be improved, and where you think the industry might be going in terms of character animation.
Can't wait for the new content from Jay!

My favorite anime this year was To Your Eternity because of its mature approach and philosophical topics. I feel its not being talked about enough and would love to hear your views on it.
I've really enjoyed a lot of your older videos. I think I found your channel last year and it's nice to go through it once in a while. I'm psyched for new uploads from a new team, put them out at a sustainable pace!
I am a long time subscriber, love the stuff that has been put out on this channel. I really like the critiques and reviews. So much of today's anime is cookie-cutter mass produced that it's tough to find the real gems with unique storytelling, interesting, colorful and dynamic character development, or cutting edge boundary pushing content that leads to the inception of a new genre or subgenres. I would also love to see reviews on classic anime of old; new generations of anime watchers should get to know the roots of the media style, understand what used to be cutting edge or boundary pushing, and why. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's to come from this channel's rekindling.

tbh im feeling a little ambivalent knowing itll be a team of different people on this channel than just lewis himself. i'll definitely check out the new content to see if i enjoy it, but lewis brought a unique flavor to anime reviews and a refreshing approach to video essays unfound in the anime AND film review community back then.
above all, lewis' old video essays give me nostalgia because i basically grew up through high school with his videos. even just hearing the beginning of this video made me happy. theres certainly a high bar set for this new team, so i hope they can meet these expectations

Glad to see the channel is back I actually really like it.
I will gladly give you guys a chance and see what you have for this channel. In terms of video ideas, maybe look at the work of a particular anime studio and see how the studio as a whole has changed over time, as well as looking at the impact it has had on the anime industry as a whole. You could do a similar thing for individual directors, writers, animators, etc. of popular anime and looking at the stuff they've made previously in their career to get to the point they're at today.
I'm so happy to hear Lewis' voice!! I REALLY liked the old, relaxed and knowledgable style of the channel, and I hope the new crew keeps that style, the key was how knowledgeable the channel was with in-depth analysis of the styles and genres, I hope that continues.
I kinda have mix feelings with this decision, the quality of the new content may not be the same as before with the new creative team

As far as topics I would love to see explored here's a few: The History of CGI in Anime, something about some of the 80s/90s gory ovas, and related to modern anime I think it would be interesting to see a video about the exploting popularity of lavishly animated battle shonen shows like Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Good luck in this new journey! This channel helped me alot through the pandemic and it's great to see a dormant titan finally wake up! Looking forward to everything that the new team has in store!

Glad to hear that this channel will be releasing new content. I always would check back to see if they started up again. The content was always great. Thus I honestly have no ideas or suggestions for new vids, mainly because I liked to be surprised hearing about series/movies I had never even thought to watch. So basically just keep doing what you think is best

If you’re taking suggestions, maybe talk about how anime is the last bastion of freedom in art. That’s why I love anime so much, it’s the truest expression of freedom from such a restrictive world.

Idk how important this will be for the channel's future, but, personally, a major reason that I watched these videos was because I really liked the narrator's voice. Often when I struggled to focus on completing a task I could play one of these videos in the background and get work done. I don't know how important the narration and mellow background music matters to other subscribers, and speak only for myself. I trust that the changes will be awesome and the new team will do great. I hope you all breathe new life into this channel and you all will be proud of your work! Godspeed. ✊

I loved watching this guy back when i was entering high school, now I'm just moving out of my parents. His content introduced me to a really diverse set of shows that I would never have discovered otherwise and really allowed me to value shows for more than just their plot or fight scenes, and made me really annoying to be around at school since I suddenly couldn't stand watching sword art online. But its had a pretty huge impact on me that I really appreciated and I'm glad to see you guys picking up where he left off.
In terms of new content I think videos about musicians, games, books, and magazines could be cool too. Bits of japanese media that just aren't as widely talked about
Im so glad this channel will soon have new content. As someone who still watches the old videos frequently, I would like to see more videos that are history focuesd, like animes digital revolution, when anime went digital, the stylistic evolution of anime and a history of mecha. Those videos are videos I have rewatched numerous times and I would love to see more stuff like that. Regardless of what you do, I am very excited to see whatever is put out on this channel.
