I performed the Te Deum my Freshman year (1979). I am proud to say I still remember every word and the Bass part is a permanent part of my memory.......
It's a great performance! Congratulations for your interpretation ! The conductor Antonio Grosu know how to synchronize the choeur with his orchestra to obtain an excellent sound!
@@petercrosland5502 No. Joseph Haydn’s Te Deum in C major was composed between 1798 and 1800 for the Empress Marie Therese (1772-1807), the second wife of her cousin Emperor Francis II (her mother Maria Karolina and his father, Emperor Leopold II, were siblings) - more than seven years before the dead of the Empress. Nevertheless this Te Deum was not dedicatetd to Marie Therese, and there exists no commission of the imperial court to compose it. The only link to Marie Therese are two letters of Haydn's friend an biographer Georg August Griesinger to the Leipzig publishers Breitkopf & Härtel, where he mentioned, that Haydn made it for the Empress.

Mein Sohn (Sopran) und ich (Tenor) haben es vor einigen Wochen auch aufgeführt, ich liebe es seit meiner Kindheit.

Meraviglioso anche il coro!

@@danielaziegler8375 There’s one on RUclips I like very much from 1994, with the ‘Choeur de Chambre de Namur’. You’ll hear the difference right away.
The Empress had just died, so no party hats and woo-woos, not this time at least.
