I sang this in 1961 when i was in the Princeton Glee Club directed by Walter Nollner, we sang it with the Wellesley Choir at the McCarter theater in Princeton. Still remember the Tenor part.
Our choral group is performing this in a few weeks. I hope we can come close to the perfection, the power, and magnificent drama this choir performed it with.

Quando eu era criança eu conhecia essa música do Haydn como a música do "Iso" . Não tenho a menor ideia do que eles estão falando mas a música desperta até os cadáveres 😂😂😂
Marvelous performance! Despite one complaint in the comments about the audio, I thought it sounded great on my system-much better than a number of others on RUclips. Other than missing the Benedictus, my only criticism is of the video, which seems to be from one low resolution camera operated by someone who was not familiar with the music, focusing on orchestra members when they’re not playing while a soloist is singing. In other words, the focus and panning seem to be entirely random. Don’t watch. Just listen and you’ll enjoy it more.
I had the same question. I'm guessing there was a glitch in the recording of that movement so they deleted it. Too bad, as it is the best performance and audio quality I've found.
@@petercrosland5502True, but they haven't lost in the way Haydn's spirit so I don't care about the number. It's very mysterious for the Benedictus. I think must assume something went wrong with the audio. The performance is amazing, don't you think?!
@@katherineparadis-chateaune8004 Just watched it again after you commented. It is a bit on the podgy side. Audio isn't great. Try the WDR version to compare, it is whole lot sharper. The two concert harps parked there have no drivers!
Por favor, se echa en falta un plano del timbalista o timpanista en el solo del Agua Dei. No en vano se conoce como la misa del timbal. Qué poca eficacia la del productor o la de quien corresponda.

Walter Nollner was still at Princeton when I was there in the early '80s. His Glee Club was very good!

Che gioia il Kyrie!
Good performance, but what happened to the Benedictus?

Same question
"Benedictus" of this mass is missing - without giving reasons... I am dismayed because of misunderstanding of Haydn´s production!
You got that right, it is way too big as well - it has got into a competition like Handel's Messiah - just kept growing.

On le chante dans ma chorale, mais ce n' est pas trop mon genre de musique...
Il vous faut changer de chorale !
Walt Disney? Mickey Mouse Mass.
That soprano is terrible.
